    Monday~night~football

    YTD 33-15~69%(+35.3 Units)

Bad day yesterday but It was my fault, Suffering a hangover that reached
a 11 on a scale of 1-10 left me "Flat" Kinda like them Bastards in
Houston which I Stupidly went with...Who would think That team would be
flat in a Big National home TV game...I'm still fuming...More mad at
Myself then anything cause I didn't research it well...
    Couple of
things right off the Bat concerns me on both sides tonight,The top 2
concerns is Denver's defense, I don't care what it is ranked is
extremely soft and TONS of Missed reads and assignments ...And
The Chargers 27-3 loss at home against Atlanta also alarms me...So I
have to find a good reason for a Side Choice that can overcome my
    hesitation on both teams...
1st Thing I'm gonna do is dig into these Coordinators...hell, I have all day and certainly don't want another Texans Fiasco...
Chargers Defensive coordinator is John Pagano, This is interesting as they fired Greg Manusky after 1 year, He was Terrible..Johns Brother is Chuck Pagano
The Colts Head Coach who was sadly diagnosed with leukemia.
This was said to be reported after that Atlanta game...so I don't think
that it had anything to do with the poor effort against the Falcons..
    John
Pagano has been with the Bolts since 2005 so he is very close with his
players..He was their Linebacker coach until this year being promoted to
DC...He was also offered the UCLA DC job by Jim Mora so the chargers
promoted him...He has the Bolts 12th In defense yards per game (Denver's
    "D"13th) They give up around 20 per game(Denver's "D" 22 per game)

    Chargers
also have a "New" Offensive Coordinator in offensive line coach Hal
Hunter who was promoted this year...The Chargers are certainly not
spending alot for Elite Coordinators...Both these Coordinators have
never steered the ship before which causes me some concern in a big
game...The Chargers have added veteran coach Steve Fairchild as senior
offensive assistant/special assignments. He most recently served as
head coach at Colorado State. Before that, Fairchild worked as the
Rams’ assistant offensive coordinator from 2003-05 and the Bills
offensive coordinator in 2006 and 2007....ugg That is a ugly Resume for a
    offensive coach..

On The Denver side we have Mike McCoy as
offensive coordinator who has been around about 3 years, Ya gotta give
this guy credit, He won a Playoff game last year with Tebow as QB..
    Denvers
Defensive coordinator is Jack Del Rio.... I don't know what the problem
is here But Denvers defense was alot better last season,The Broncos keep saying their mistakes can
be corrected.... But they still miss too many assignments on defense —
particularly against the run..They are shaking things up this week! Keith Brooking will replace Joe Mays as the Broncos' No. 1 middle linebacker.....This
is important because From all the games I seen of them this year it has
been mental breakdowns on this Denver defense..Brookings has been around the block a few times! he is Basically the defensive quarterback
for directing the signals to his teammates after receiving the call in
his helmet from defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio....This has to be a Plus tonight... I
gotta lay the Blame on Del Rio here but it is correctable...His
defenses with the Jaguars have ranked among the NFL's best so this is
very puzzling to me......Maybe Del Rio is not all he is cracked up to
    be...

Well There we have it, 2 average Coordinators for SD and a
C+ offensive coordinator for Denver and Del Rio...which I have watched a
few Denver Games and the Defense is killing them...Gotta mention though
that Charger defense is not any better..

so what to do? One of
these teams are going to win this Division..Watching that Saints game
last week against the Bolts Rivers was showing some life and feisty,
something I haven't seen from him in awhile But WOW, The Saints are
really bad this year and I'm Pretty Sure Denver would have won that
game..,Then ya gotta look at who these teams played, Denver's schedule
has been Brutal, The teams they lost to are a combined 13-2...While the
Chargers best foe was Atlanta and that was a Blowout loss that bugs the
hell out of me... ..Philip Rivers is 9-3 against the Broncos,
having defeated six Denver defensive coordinators along the way — Larry
Coyer, Jim Bates, Bob Slowik, Mike Nolan, Don Martindale and Dennis
Allen. Jack Del Rio will be the seventh to take a shot at beating
Rivers, who has completed 63.8 percent of his passes against the
Broncos for 3,062 yards and 20 touchdowns. His career passer rating
    against Denver is 102.7.
On the other side of the ball
The Chargers Have always been that annoying little Rattle in Manning's
New Buick's....And when he sets that GPS for San Diego warnings flash
across the screen..He is only 4-3 in the regular season against San
Diego and 0-2 in the playoffs.

His regular season QB rating of 72.5 is his lowest against any team, and
San Diego has intercepted him 16 times and sacked him 12 times in seven
    games...
Denver ranks 30th in the 32-team league in lost fumbles....The Broncos lost two fumbles inside New England's 20-yard line last week and lost one fumble inside their 20-yard line...The Broncos are 2-4 in San Diego in their last six games there, having given up 35, 52, 23 and 48 points

The Broncos don't have a kickoff return longer than 33 yards and don't have a punt return longer than 11 yards...Eddie
Royals will be returning Punts for the Chargers tonight against his old
team, Royals hasn't had a breakout game with SD ...Pssst...Hey buddy...yea you....The Broncos went out and got them a secret weapon this week,One of the Fastest Guys in the NFL,Trindon Holliday will be returning the kicks tonight,Signed off wavers from Houston this guy can fly...he
earned the Texans' return jobs by averaging 21.1 yards on 10 punt
returns and 39.9 yards on nine kickoff runbacks in the preseason He scored two
touchdowns on punts and another on kickoffs during August...He has potential to be a game changer tonight...

Here's what I think....It is tempting to pull the
Trigger on San Diego but Denver is the better team IF they clean up
their act on defense which I think the Brookings move will make a big difference,Signing Holliday this week and the defensive shakeup tells me they are pulling out all the stops to win this game tonight....The Chargers have 2 new coordinators which are average at
best and 21 new members on this team this year...I'm Betting Manning fixes that annoying rattle in his Buick Tonight...

I arrived here for Monday night's pivotal AFC West game between the Denver Broncos and San Diego Chargers and learned of a key injury issue.

The Broncos announced starting cornerback Tracy Porter is ill and he did not travel to San Diego for the game. That means Chris Harris or Tony Carter will start.

That is a crucial loss for Denver. Porter is a ball hawk and brings experience and confidence to the defense. Expect San Diego to try to exploit the loss of Porter often by having Philip Rivers throw often to the area where Porter was supposed to be.

This game should be closely contested and the loss of Porter could prove to be damaging for Denver. Thus, this is a significant game-day development.

    HARRIS AT A GLANCE:
    • A second-year cornerback who played all 16 regular-season games (4 starts) and two playoff contests (1 start) as a rookie in 2011 after becoming the 13th college free agent since 1997 to make Denver’s active roster out of training camp.
    • Tied with Charles Woodson (G.B.) for the most sacks by a defensive back in 2012 with 1.5 quarterback takedowns through five weeks of play.
    • Named to the 2011 NFL All-Rookie Team by the PFW/PFWA and Football Outsiders after ranking first among NFL rookie defensive backs (fourth on the Broncos) with 65 tackles (56 solo) to go along with one interception (15 yds.), six passes defensed and six special-teams stops.

It looks like Harris is capable...This news scared me for a minute but Harris looks sound.
