I thought the real refs couldn't return this Sunday?

If they dont work the Thursday night game

I thought i heard if replacements work the Thursday night game they must work Sundays games and Mondays game as well

Why does ESPN have in the sidebar refs possibly returning for Sundays games?

On NFL Live on ESPN they said they could even if replacements work Thursday. Thought they said on Monday game what you thought that they had to work all game that week

Could of sworn I heard last week if they start the week they finish the week

Not fair to the teams who get replacement refs and then same week other teams getting real ones

Guess the league just wants to get them back ASAP no matter what

Hard to imagine there being much drama in the Browns Ravens game. Cleveland is awful.

Even if they were to not return at all this week then you could argue that the teams who were on a bye this week had an unfair advantage playing one less game with the replacement refs. So the only way that things would be completely even would be if the refs returned for the Thursday game this week.

They might get paid for the week, but if a deal is reached - the real refs can come in at any time, regardless.

NFL is simply a company working on bylaws. I doubt there is such a restriction in place.

I only see a contractual issue, where the replacement refs relied on working this week - so most likely they will have to pay if scheduled to work.
