I think regardless of what the announcers were saying, that was a contested possession. Jennings gets two hands on it, but I don't think you can say he has "control" while Golden Tate has his hand on it as well. By the time they hit the ground, they were locked up.
If it wasn't the last play of the game and something like that happened on the sideline, they'd just say "oh well" and move on. I just don't think these announcers are going to miss the one and only time they're allowed to completely excoriate officials with the replacements in.
