Texans over Broncos is the best play of Week 3

Houston is without a doubt a top 3 team in the NFL. They have one of the best defenses in the league and the offense is rock solid with a great running game and very efficient passing attack.

Denver got a nice win in the opener on an adrenaline high in Peyton's first game back but this is a borderline playoff team at best and they will be completely overmatched in this one.

I have Houston as my preseason Super Bowl team from the AFC. I really think they are the team to beat in the AFC but it's going to take some time for people to finally realize that. Texans giving 1 here is a bit off. I think they should be closer to -3 or -3.5 but Denver is overvalued because of the Manning factor.

This will be my first huge play of the season. I had a bad Week 1 and made no plays yesterday.

    denver run d is solid.

public will be all over houston.

    it's at mile high stadium.

it's gotta be denver or pass.

Texans get zero respect, easiest pick of week 2, and people were all over Pats/Saints or Ravens/Eagles with Chargers being the second easiest pick. I can't see how people will be all over Texans for week 3, public will still overvalue Denver because of Peyton and being at home.

Gifted ATL 3/4's of their points and only lost by 6. The bronco d is much much improved this year. Don't think houston is going to put up 23+ without winning the turnover battle by 2+

Houston will put up 20+ points. Question is how will Denver score?

    No play from me.

Sharps know never to bet the spread on a team that won the week before against an opponent that lost the spread the week before. Because of public perception from the previous week, sportsbooks will open the lines and move the lines against the public.

The funny thing all the people who were on Denver vs Atlanta will now be on Houston vs Denver.

Let me break this down for you,

Houston is a GREAT team. However, this is Peyton Manning. Atlanta came out playing that Amoeba defense, which threw Peyton off for a quarter. He was definitely not expecting that. That being said, this is Peyton Manning, Houston is not gonna come with some hero defense. Granted, their defense is good. Denver's run defense is obnoxious. To me, it's second to only San Francisco. Don't get it fukked up when comparing these two teams. Andre Johnson will have Champ Bailey on him all night. Don't count Peyton out because of a few rare turnovers. Denver is the play.

Line will float much more than a typical game...I do think HOU is the call but there are a few other games that seem more likely to me: SF-7 @ MINN, PIT -4 @ OAK, GB -3 @ SEA are a couple that stand out right now. Cheers

agreed. and like i mentioned in a previous thread, people underestimate the effect the altitude has on players.

As good as the texans defense may be, Peyton in the no huddle could pose a problem. It certainly did for Pittsburgh towards the end of the game. You can't really prepare for that.

The Texans could very well win, but there's safer bets out there this week.

Squeeze the Texans in a teaser if you can, they will keep it close if not win out right.

while that is true and i agree mile high (or wtf ever they calling it these days) is tough place to play, that said steelers issues in den have been well documented over the yrs, so while yes i think den and altitude can be tough i also think comparing what happened to pit is a mistake cause they have few unique circumstances that make it even tougher for them.. i simply cant play den here and despite what my guy k13 said i was heavy on atl last week so not just jumping ship from den here (did play broncos week 1)...not sure im playing hou but sure seems like the only side i would even consider, better d (although this is not a shot at den solid d), better run gm, better team, facing a team that while maybe at some point will put it all together they clearly have not as of yet... someone mentioned kubiak coaching in den and i suppose that could give him a edge in preparing his team for altitude but how is beyond me, lol....if i could get a 47 the under seriously tempting..

but i like watching gms, better still is i like listening to what ppl took from gms as perception is the ultimate nfl capping tool as it seems to swing so drastically for no apparent reason to me anyways..

interesting..hard for me to agree but being a Lambs fan i am predisposed to always leaning under as that just the team they have been for some time...both olines have serious issues and both dlines can get after the qb, this gm tough cause not sure how chi guys respond to cutler going ape shit on guy on national tv (even tho i dont blame him he was getting killed), rams have the talent at corner to hang with bears big boys and i would expect a heavy dose of Bush as he should be able to really help bears oline get something going, on other side amendola will pick apart that cover 2 but it will be in small chunks and if fisher can help it he much rather pound the rock and keep it close, obviously last week that wasnt a option as they got down early on some flukish plays and little help from shithole replacement refs......all that and i can still see your side as not hard to envision 27-20 type gm on other hand rams have a tendency to really come to a halt in red zone and lovie's d thrives on bend but dont break so could very well see Lambs eating clock and kicking fgs while cutler gets his when he gets time and it more like 24- 16...

as for mine the only gm i have booked so far is sd-3...

i would tend to agree but these refs have me a little shook on unders, p.i. calls out the ass and the way everyone acts like atl got more calls last week (far from true reallY) could lead to these clueless refs throwing a flag everytime peyton chucks up a pass....

I'm not concerned about the altitude issue here. The Houston rushing attack will wear down the Denver pass rushers.

    tough game to cap

    too many variables

    gonna be very close

if it's a close game then you already lost because you're expecting a blowout seeing as it's the easiest game on the board so no sweat should be involved

    good luck chief
