ATS = Against The Spread (please don't respond with this )

Seriously though, what does a teams ATS record indicate?

Does it mean that Vegas can't figure out a team that has a good or bad ATS record? Therefore indicating a team with a great ATS record is due for a spread loss (assuming that Vegas wants everyones ATS record to be near 0.500) or a team with a bad ATS record is due for a spread win?

A team with 0-5 ATS record could have a 5-0 SU record as well.

I guess it depends on the Trend that you look at though.

But I would to get someones input on what they think a teams ATS record indicates.

Thanks!
