    I used to teach history...know about Rommel/Afrika Korp. If Hitler just left Manstein alone they might've bled the Russians out eventually....til they got A-bombed in Berlin anyway. Hitler was so fixated on holding ground but sometimes you let them lead and you counterpunch.

    About tonite though....healthy Gates makes the difference. That and about 150 yds of Oakland penalties by these scrub refs that have heard all about the Raiders before they walk out there.

    Palmer was never the same after that Steeler rolled his leg in the 1st quarter of that playoff game in Cincy. He has no legs in his throws at all. Rivers doesnt have a gun either but he can still play under pressure unlike Palmer.

    palmer was among league leaders in yards, tds, yd/pass, comp over 20yds last season..... hes not the problem. its these crappy wrs with drops and fumbles.
