    NFL Monday Night Football Food

So, my buddy calls me up and tells me him and 5 other of my boys are coming over tonight to watch the games and to go to Hooters and pick up 300 or 400 hot wings and they will supply the beer and cheesesteaks.

I said ok but the hot chinese soup for tomorrow's hangover is on you LOL.

Which brings up an interesting topic for a thread.

    Football food.

What is your favorite NFL football food?

Do you have a traditional food ritual that you always eat during the games?

Any favorites that you must have before and during the games?

Probably will be the only one that will reply this, but I don't like to eat during games. In between games, that's okay, but not much for food during 'em, especially if I'm betting them. Wings sound good...free wings sound better. Sounds like you have some good friends.

If I'm going to stay home and cook there's usually a few favorites I fall back on:

    1. Smoked pork ribs
    2. Boneless buffalo wings
    3. Pulled pork shoulder
    4. Beer can chicken

I make some pretty awesome ribs, so they are prob my all time favorite to do.

Higher, I'm springing for the wings.

Friends are springing for beer and cheesesteaks.

    You know what's funny?

I already know they are going to be too drunk and will crash here tonight.

Tomorrow morning we will all be in fukkin Chinatown eating hot Chinese soup for breakfast to get rid of our hangovers LOL.

Philly, you really like the wings from there? Personally, and I have only been to the Hooters in Beaverton, OR., but they were horrible. I can see getting them if you're going to dine in, but takeout? Maybe I need to try them again.

    Higher, yes I do.

I like the fact that Hooters wings are breaded.

I prefer breaded wings over non-bread/plain ones.

Yeah, there's this place in Chinatown that has a special soup that we use for hangovers.

I think it may be wonton-based but it isn't traditional wonton and it isn't named wonton.

    It's fukkin great too.

Pretzels, and maybe a cheese ball/french onion dip if I am feeling fancy. That's what I eat during almost all sports games. Pretzels and beer.

However, Monday Night - I always feel like I am getting Large Pizza and 20 wings from Mario's up the street. LEGIT!

Good stuff. I forgot about those and the bacon wrapped shrimp I make. Shrimp with onion, cream cheese, and jalapeno wrapped in bacon and then brushed with melted butter.
