So whats up with this patriots/titans line?
opening line -7.5 with 70% of the public on the pats and the line is now -5 at some places?

This is a classic trap line, stay away. There are plenty of good bets on other games, this is an easy pass.
NO NO NO NO NO!!!!! Unless the NFL is truly rigged (you never truly know) the Pats will CRUSH the titans. Pull this thread up again if the Pats lose but the Pats are better at every position over the Titans. Jake Locker will not be nearly capable to score at the same rate the pats will and they will win in a blow out. I'm not really sure why its moving that way but take that low line with a smile and think what the same line would look like if they played this game the last game of last season (-12 atleast).

I just can't with the weapons the patriots have. brandon Lloyd, gronk, welker, brady, even ridley. Jake locker isin't proven even though I do like is mobility. Also, no kenny britt.
It's not that a 5 point favorite lost. It's the fact that the line was -7.5 with 70% of the public on pats and the line drops to -5 at certain places. I'm not a rocket scientist but souldn't the line go up to -8 or -9 instead of down? The books are begging you to take the pats. So, Yeah, If the titans win or cover, I'm convinced the outcome was known before hand. The trick to this game, is figuring out if the Titans D is solid enough to not allow Brady to put up points every time the offense is on the field.
Pats D is garbage, Pats O is only rivaled by the Packers and Saints. Titans are pretty average on both sides.
That said, RLM be damned, I am in on the Pats -5.5 already, which I thought was decent value before crunching numbers. Turns out it is reasonably fair based on current data. Might throw more on it by Sunday, but that all depends on how the weekend goes.
I can't see the Pats losing, and obviously getting a number under 7 is a good step when backing an offense as good as this.

No Kenny Britt for Locker. Pats should have no problem winning this game.
Locker hasn't played with Britt much at all. When Locker did start games, Britt was out. Locker actually has better rapport with Nate Washington and the other WR's than with Britt. Not having Kenny Britt isn't going to be much of a problem.
Right now, it's Titans spread or nothing.
Last year Chris Johnson held out and wasn't himself. They broke in a rookie QB and a rookie coach and were in playoff hunt.
Here are some results.
The Titans only lost 3 games by more than 7 points. (Pittsburgh/Houston) two playoff teams
Beat the Ravens in week 2 - should have gone to the SB
Beat the Broncos - playoff team
Lost to the Saints by 6 - held them to only 22 points. Saints are an offensive team like the Pats.
Lost @ Atlanta ( They are much better there) by 6
Crushed Cam Newton and the Panthers 30-3
They are also a home dog
The Patriots haven't been as good on the road the last couple years.
Pats are breaking in a new offensive line, new top WR, new RB

I know the Patriots have some offensive line problems, but I fully expect them to utilize the 3 TE set with Hernandez, Gronk, and don't forget Visanthe Shancoe (I can't spell his name) to help the offensive line problems. Brandon Lloyd , if used correctly, will be a monster this year.

C'mon man.
Chalky, yes the Pats were 2nd to last in YPG last year, however they were also 3rd in turnovers and 15th in points allowed. They are also better this year, so I wouldn't say, especially playing against the Titans offense (w/o Britt), that they will be "garbage" in this game.
The offense is primed to put up a big number in this game, and as long as the Pats can hold the Titans to field goals despite giving up a lot of yards (which they did with most teams last year), they will win by double digits.
The RLM is odd, but I think its best not to over analyze this game. Take anything under -7 all day long.
