Despite the Redskins offense shining the past two weeks, look for the under to be the right play today when Washington visits the Giants.

After scoring a miserable 26 points in their first two games of the season, the Redskins offense has exploded the last two weeks putting up a combined 67 points.

They’re coming off an exhilarating 36-30 OT victory over Jacksonville, and will no doubt come into this one against the division rival Giants very confident. New York has had two weeks to lick their wounds after their humiliating Week 3 defeat at the hands of the Seattle Seahawks, and will want to put forth a solid effort to erase that painful loss from their memories. In order to do so, they’ll have to step up their defensive play.

Washington QB Mark Brunell isn’t the nimblest of field generals in the NFL, and the Giants have the defensive front to really cause him and the Redskin offense problems. Look for both DE’s Strahan and Umenyiora to play crucial roles in this one by putting pressure on Brunell from both edges. Washington will have to hurry up its offense quite a bit in order to avoid losses in the backfield, and I feel this will impede the offenses rhythm that’s seen them go off the last couple of weeks.

The Giants opened up a severe can of you-know-what on the 'Skins at home a year ago, and they ultimately shut them out en route to the 36-0 home win and cover. This is the NFC East people, and high scoring games are certainly not the norm in this league. Get ready for a white-knuckled brawl that should see the victor score no more than 21 points.
