I find it very useful for high scoring spreads.
Example I took Miami to be up by 24 or so at the half against Temple.
I don't think they beat the overall spread.
Most teams are going to take there starters out to prevent injury. So scoring slows in the 2nd half. Nothing you probably havent thought about.
I think taking Indianapolis at the half -7.5 looks good.
agree I love 1st half lines. get it over with quicker, can double up on 2nd half and have more times than not hit the first half but would of loost the game.
I often use them. I especially like it when a big team like USC, for instance, is having a lousy 1st half and, at half time, the lines show USC -3 for 2nd half.
the only drawback in betting first halves and half times is exactly the reason the odds makers put these line up, and that is so you can bet on them. I find the less amount of sides you bet the better chance you have of winning, i dont play too many becase i try to minimize my bets
