Look for the Broncos to bounce back strong at home today against the Chiefs and cover the big line with relative ease.
Both teams are coming off losses last week, but Kansas City’s was much bigger than just a loss in the standings. The Chiefs also lost their star QB Trent Green to a concussion.
Things could not be worse for the Chiefs as not only will they will be starting their number two quarterback Damon Huard, but they have to travel to Mile High on top of that! Kansas City will be matched up with a Broncos team that had a woeful week one and is fired up about bouncing back big at home.
The Broncos can’t afford to drop to 0-2 and they have produced a great history in prior situations like this at home. This is a big number to lay on Denver, but we expect them to win by a three touchdown margin.
Keep in mind that it was five turnovers that truly did the Broncos in last week and they will play a much cleaner game this week. By limiting their mistakes and taking advantage of a Chiefs offense that will be reeling from the injury to Green, the Broncos will roll in this one.
