So What Are You Doing For Draft Day?

Do you watch the whole draft?

    Going out/staying in?

    Special menu?

I plan on having 4 or 5 people over for steaks on the grill, probably a few beers

Exactly...People acting like it's a big deal...It's not like superbowl sunday or NCAA championship on a Monday....I never knew people had "gatherings" for NFL draft.

I enjoy the draft... maybe it's because it's a reminder that real football is only like 4 months ago. Plus, the Bengals have two picks

JJ many teams are made or broken on Draft Day

Especially important for Bears as they have not done well in years

New GM did well in offseason will be interested to see where they go with their first pick

True but there are always some surprises......Also this year they will not tip off the picks and you will have to wait till the commisioner announces the picks (Not going to show the player drafted on the phone a minute before he is picked)

Also teams need to pick well in the middle rounds

i disagree with this, let's look at the last 9 super bowl winners and what they have in common

    giants 21-17 eli manning
    packers 31-25 aaron rodgers
    saints 31-17 drew brees
    steelers 27-23 ben roethlisberger
    giants 17-14 eli manning
    colts 29-17 peyton manning
    steelers 21-10 ben roethlisberger
    patriots 24-21 tom brady
    patriots 32-29 tom brady

so unless you're aaron rodgers, tom brady, drew brees, ben roethlisberger (with a good defense), or one of the mannings you are s.o.l.

the rest of the team is almost inconsequential, look at the packers of 2011 - they won the super bowl with mostly backups.

so when they say about a guy picked in the 4th round "he might really help the eagles" i just roll my eyes because there's about a 1 in a million chance he will be the difference between winning a championship and not winning it...

I know they didn't "win it" but the Jets of 2009 and 2010 were one good half of football away from a Super Bowl berth with one of the worst QB situations in the NFL.....Baltimore and SF last season could have/should have been the matchup with friggin Alex Smith and Flacco...I mean yeah, ultimately the top QBs have won but it could have easily not been the case with better all around teams

Watching NHL playoffs but will flip back and forth during intermissions.

Draft starts in less than 15m and we already know the first 3 picks. What's the point of watching the first 30m?

this is true but if i'm playing devil's advocate i would say those jets teams/49ers didn't make it because an elite qb is more important than the rest of the team combined.
but didn't joe flacco say he was the best qb in the nfl?

awful pick by the bears, never even heard of the fukkin guy, and he played against inferior competition. A White Linebacker LOL obviously they think they got Urlacher 2.0, i highly doubt it

Urlacher can't play DE Brock. He was 1st team All-American, compared to Clay Matthews.
