    New peyton manning news

Tennessee wants Manning for life....and could make him President/part owner-- Here's the latest that I'm hearing about Peyton Manning and let me tell you, it's pretty interesting and worth the read.

Titans owner Bud Adams has said that he will offer Peyton a "contract for life." Granted, Manning might only play for 3 more years (if that), but the deal goes further. Michael Lombardi of NFL.com is reporting that Adams has said Manning "could be part of the Tennessee Titans' organization after his playing days are through." That's if he wants to of course.

Specifically, Shawn Zobel of Draft Headquarters is reporting that Manning "would become President of the team like [John] Elway in Denver, but also receive stake in ownership." However, since Manning cannot be an owner while playing, once he retired, he would be able to have a minority stake in the team.

I cant see him being a minority owner. He would want to be the boss. The Titans should develope Locker at QB. He is their future.

Worse case scenario for Peyton and Indy imo. Tenn isn't close enough to win big with Peyton and I can't see Peyton or Colts fans too excited about him trying to beat us for life either?

With the Tennessee Titans making a push to sign quarterback Peyton Manning, the Tennessee state legislature is joining the effort to bring home the Volunteer state’s former star.
Breer: Titans in on Peyton Party
Albert Breer writes that the Titans have suddenly gained significant momentum in the hunt for Peyton Manning. More ...

Citing his history at the University of Tennessee and the NFL, the general assembly issued House Joint Resolution 785 to back the Titans’ pursuit of Manning and lobby him to join the team.
”BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE SENATE CONCURRING, that this General Assembly wholeheartedly supports the Tennessee Titans signing Peyton Manning and urges Mr. Manning to remember his roots in the Volunteer State as he makes his decision about where to play football in 2012,” the resolution read, according to Pro Football Talk.
The General Assembly also said it “wishes to offer all necessary assistance to make this dream a reality.” In further support of the move, the General Assembly said “there has never been a more logical pairing of player and team in football history.”
Manning met with Titans officials for seven hours on Wednesday.
