    Elway wants manning so he can have a reason to get rid of tebow

    tebow will get traded and elway will say " we just couldn't pass up getting manning'

    He'll look like some hero instead of someone that is afraid to say what he really thinks of tebow
    Bad move by manning but i believe they will say they will draft a rb in round 1, wr in round 2, then o line because they have a good defense.

    everybody knows elways doesnt want tim tebow...we all know how fake his cheers were when the broncos were winning in spite of tebow

    but how he feels about tebow is irrelevant in this situation.....

    Denver defense is not that good. They played well for a stretch because of tebow and the ball control offense, so I'm not sure they'd be instant favorites unless they worked on that too.

    But Peyton, Wayne, Thomas and that offensive line would be almost unstoppable. Could keep tebow for 3 years and let him study manning.

    Denver's avg time of possession was 28:51 last year. Probably higher under Tebow, but not enough to "rest the defense" significantly. The kid gave up a lot of three-and-outs, especially in the Pats game. Give credit where its due, to Von Miller and BDawk.

    Geez, people will do all kinds of mental gymnastics to justify Tebow's crappy performance.

    why would elway come out and say what he really thinks about tebow when anyone who actually follows the game closely already knew it...and if they didnt know it..they know it now....it would be stupid on his part.....elway covets a classic dropback qb who is talented....we already knew that before last year started....before tebowmania even got underway.....

    Tebow was 9/26. Denver had 252 yds of total offense. That was a complete team blow-out.

    What I'm saying is that credit for Denver's modicum of success last year should be attributed more to their defense and strong run game than the "talents" of a QB who throws for under 50%. Your argument that he "rested the defense" isn't supported by evidence (at least none that I can find).

    Probably more his lack of turnovers (the first few weeks) as well. Of course, the under 50% is attributed to a terrible group of wide receivers that was 12 or 13th in drops.
    The broncos just were not a very good overall team.

    And yes, the ball control offense as well. I can't find any numbers on it besides his first 6 starts they were top 5 in time of possession.
