I've got a new Rule to make the NFL more exciting

The defense can't have anyone deeper than 20 yds from the line of scrimmage before the snap. There could be exceptions for 3rd/long or hail mary situations. NE had their safeties so deep that Eli was forced to nickel-n-dime almost the entire game. NE already plays that way with so many possession receivers but lets face it....8-9 yd passes underneath are boring as $hit. On the other hand long passes are exciting and sacks/turnovers are exciting too. It might force teams to blitz more and go away from the boring a$$ cover 2? Its just a thought but a total of 4 plays over 20 yds in this SB was pretty lame in my opinion.

Defense is already hindered too much, dumb rule.

Then they could quit calling breathing on the QB penalties....and "defenseless" receiver nonsense? Unless he got out there without his helmut & pads then he's not defenseless.
