The defense can't have anyone deeper than 20 yds from the line of scrimmage before the snap. There could be exceptions for 3rd/long or hail mary situations. NE had their safeties so deep that Eli was forced to nickel-n-dime almost the entire game. NE already plays that way with so many possession receivers but lets face it....8-9 yd passes underneath are boring as $hit. On the other hand long passes are exciting and sacks/turnovers are exciting too. It might force teams to blitz more and go away from the boring a$$ cover 2? Its just a thought but a total of 4 plays over 20 yds in this SB was pretty lame in my opinion.
