Agree with the Robert Kraft one. Also think Peyton is shown under 3.5 LIVE.

Was going to knock only Obama pick but now think he will go NYG, all others solid imho and Ballard may get 5 or more due to being wide open often. Dont like odds on WW @-165

Remember inferior Pats defense "bend don't break" yet again and can see NY getting 3 or 4 FGs. The NE defense in last SB was not so great either, just good and did not allow alot of points. These 2 teams still VERY similar to teams from 4 years ago and both under the 2 MOST systemic head coaches in BB and TomC.

One last point here - I think Pats running game good today but in the end they look to Brady.

not even going to attempt to argue this if you think Ballard is the better TE than Beckum. Ballard has a significant edge in blocking and thats about it.

Beckum is often split out as WR. ever seen Ballard lined up like that?

Just Added Another Prop Bet: (7) Wes Welker Longest yardage of any Reception or Run - OVER 20.5 (-120)

Just saw some game film from the Week 5 match up between these two teams as well as some Patriot games the last 4 weeks....Welker will have man on man coverage and Brady will look to exploit this in the Giants secondary. Expect Welker to have two or more 20+ yards gains in this game.

Wow I got destroyed on this one. Luckily I pushed on the 2, but I lost a ton of the 25.5 yards. I literally went 8-2 on my picks last night, but lost money because I got in way over my head on Ballard. Freaking Pascoe gets 4 catches and Ballard only gets 2.

Thanks a lot to the guy with the strong opinion of Travis Beckum. He finished his season with 16 games played and 12 catches (not including the Super Bowl due to freak injury). In his career he now has 44 games played and 26 catches. You really know your stuff buddy.

Ugh, Ballard got two for only 10 yards before getting injured in the fourth quarter. Three total targets. People were also advocating both FG kickers to get over 34 and Gostkowski had one for 29 and that was it.

LOL. hey asshole...I guess you disregarded the whole point of me saying him being healthy is key and has battled injuries his whole career but he was as healthy as hes been going into the SB. did you not see him tear his acl and go out for the game?

Beckum is finally healthy and he is a great down field threat. if anyone remembers when he played for Wisconsin he was one of the most insane athletic best TEs in the Nation.

just could never stay healthy. now at full strength.

I guess its my fault he tore is ACL right?

LOL. hey asshole...I guess you disregarded the whole point of me saying that in 44 career healthy starts (excluding the super bowl because of the freak accident) he only has 26 catches. I really do appreciate your insight about his days at Wisconsin though. College ahtleticism definitely equals NFL production.

In 2005 Beckum saw limited action in 10 games as reserve on defense and on special teams. The following year Beckum switched to the tight end position and saw more action. Beckum was a semifinalist for the John Mackey Award and was named second-team All-American by Walter Camp and SI.com. He caught 61 passes for 903 yards and 5 scores as a sophomore, and improved to 75, 982 and 6 as a junior. He was at his best in the biggest games, totaling 10 catches and 132 yards in a shootout against Michigan St, 11 for 160 at rival Illinois, and 9 for 140 at Ohio St.
On October 26, 2008, Beckum broke his leg in a 27-17 win over Illinois, ending his senior season. He finished with just 23 catches and 264 yards as a senior, but is regarded as one of the best at his position in Wisconsin history.
Beckum was drafted by the New York Giants in the third round as the 100th overall pick of the 2009 NFL Draft. In his rookie year, Beckum started 2 games out 15 played and had 8 receptions for 55 yards. The next year, 2010, he played in all 16 games, starting in 2, and had 13 receptions and a total of 116 yards and 2 touchdowns. Beckum caught 5 passes for 93 yards (18.6 yards per catch) and one touchdown as a backup tight end to Jake Ballard in 2011.[citation needed] During Super Bowl XLVI, Beckum tore his ACL.

Winning or losing the bet is irrelevant.

This argument started because you gave bad information shown below.

"have to say I was very close to pulling the trigger on this bet before I ever even saw this thread but backed off just cause of this exact reason posted above. Beckum is finally healthy and he is a great down field threat. if anyone remembers when he played for Wisconsin he was one of the most insane athletic best TEs in the Nation. just could never stay healthy. now at full strength."

Now you are proving your statement to be wrong and providing stats to back it up.

    2009 - Limited action. 8 catches for 55 yards
2010 - Played in all 16 games. Had 13 catches for 116 yards.
2011 - Backup. Played in 14 games Caught 5 passes for 93 yards.

Obviously I have a sour taste in my mouth because I lost money on Ballard, but it was not a bad bet. Over 2 catches for a starting TE who averaged 3.1 on the year, facing the 29th TE defense is a decent bet. I do not regret betting it or advising others to do the same. However it bothers me when I see someone like you tell people to stay away from it because you liked a players athleticism in college, despite the fact that this player has never produced at any point in his NFL career.

Successful handicapping isn't based on how a player performed in college. It's based on statistics and matchups. Please don't come into a thread and tell people that Travis Beckum is relevant because he is not.

im not even arguing with you anymore. its like talking to a brick wall. complete joker. my whole point was that when he is HEALTHY he a is very dangerous and viable threat. he wasnt healthy all year, nor has he been really his whole career..and I stated going into the Super Bowl hes been the healthiest in he has been in his career.

the Ballard bet lost. yet your ripping me for advising people not to play it??? take a fkn walk!

and I wasnt advising them to not take it based on the kids athletic skills. if you are a Giants fan..which you are clearly NOT. you know that when Beckum is lined up in the slot or at TE when he is in the game and HEALTHY, Eli prefers to go to him rather than Ballard.

so point being Beckum was as healthy as he ever was going into the game so my argument was he would be targeted more than Ballard.

    get a ******* clue.
