He still threw some accurate balls that were dropped. He was also run for his life all game. There were several times he was hit while gettig the snap. Nobody said he was perfect ...

two qb's I've seen throw as bad consistently as this kid. kyle boller and joey harrington. he will have to become a 1k yd rusher to survive in this league. 9/26? def not perfect. or even ok. or mediocre for that matter.

Alot of those throws he was running for his life , the o-line had their worst game of the season. Tebow does move around alot and takes to long to throw as it is. He is trying to avoid turnovers and he will have to develop his decision making at a faster rate. He does throw a few ones WAY off target, but it happens to alot of QBs. Bug Ben throw a good bit last week. We will see how he does with a full ofseason under his belt

To be fair, and discredit the "dropped ball" theory, Aaron Rodgers had 7 dropped passes in the divisional game against the giants. Two were touchdowns. He still finished 26 of 46. 57%.

Tebow can put the ball somewhat accurately when he has HUGE throwing windows to place the ball in. This style offense (extremely similar to the one that UF ran) freezes linebackers and safeties, which allows the receivers to work 1 on 1 in space. This generally means larger throwing windows, and relatively INFLATED stats. Not the other way around.

To make a college football reference, Tevin Washington of Georgia Tech. He runs that triple option offense. When they pass, its one on one on the outside, with a freakish athlete (a la the same Demaryius Thomas and Calvin Johnson, both former Georgia Tech WR's). His yards per completion is off the chart, because they go vertical down the field. Tom Brady's yards per completion is smaller because they employ so many crossing patterns and short zone sit-downs.

I think a more fair version of rating the QB play is yards per attempt. This incorporates accuracy and also filters somewhat for play calling style. Tebow for example, had a 6.38 yard per attempt this season, good for 28th in the league. This metric doesn't care if you passed for 5,000 yards this season, or 2,500. It puts everything on a more even playing field.

If you don't like that, look at QB rating. Tebow again is ranked 28th.
