Tebow-mania rolls on. In the most-hyped game yet on the Tim Tebow roller coaster, the Denver Broncos versus the New England Patriots drew a 19.5 overnight rating. That was the highest-rated game for CBS since 2007 (via The Big Lead).
For comparison, the typically highly-rated Sunday Night Football match-up featuring the San Diego Chargers and Baltimore Ravens drew just a 11.3 overnight rating.
The ratings for CBS are even more impressive considering the game wasn't shown in the New York City or Philadelphia markets.
CBS fought hard to keep NBC from moving the game into primetime. And the ratings justified the fight.
