In the last six years, the Super Bowl winners have been sixth, first, second, fifth, third and sixth seeds. Courtesy of Las Vegas oddsmakers.

AFC #1 seeds have won just a quarter of their super bowl appearances.
No AFC #5 seed has ever made it to the super bowl.

NFC #1 seed has best overall playoff record of any seed from either conference.
NFC #4 seed historically struggles when they reach the divisional playoffs.

Planting the seed: the Giants, Steelers could be in trouble.

    1990 Giants 2
    1991 Redskins 1
    1992 Cowboys 2
    1993 Cowboys 1
    1994 49ers 1
    1995 Cowboys 1
    1996 Packers 1
    1997 Broncos 4
    1998 Broncos 1
    1999 Rams 1
    2000 Ravens 4
    2001 Patriots 2
    2002 Buccaneers 2
    2003 Patriots 1
    2004 Patriots 2
    2005 Steelers 6
    2006 Colts 3
    2007 Giants 5
    2008 Steelers 2
    2009 Saints 1
    2010 Packers 6

Good coaching yeah and he's full aware of that fact as well, maybe even thinks he's better than he is. Certainly can't be any worse of a coach than he was at playing quarterback. The guy actually comes across as an arrogant prick; maybe a young 'motor mouth' Ryan for that matter.
