    Chargers to retain Turner, Smith

    Citing “stability” and his belief that Norv Turner and A.J. Smith give the Chargers “the best chance to get back to the playoffs,” Dean Spanos announced his decision on Tuesday that both men will return to the Chargers in 2012.
