GAME IS BEING PLAYED AT THE GEORGIA DOME

ATLANTA did not make the playoffs last season so they
will play harder in front of their fans,A win will boost their
confidence even more so if they beat a big name like NE..

I do like Atlanta, I just wish this matchup was like week 3 or 4 instead, the home field will make up for the points, but really the 2nd quarter is maybe the only time they have a big talent edge, I doubt Schaub plays in the 2nd half. The Patriots are the type of team that will always play a lot worse in the preseason, the only thing I might be worried about is the possibility of first round pick Laurence Maroney tearing up the Falcons third stringers in the second half.

I have always like Matt Schaub. I liked him alot when he
was with Virginia as well

I think this kid has tons of potential as well, but we i doubt we see him get much playing time with the first stringers this weekend

5 dimes will have it Razz, but you never know New England could have first in goal at the beginning of the quarter. I will buy Atlanta on WSEX before Schaub comes in, and then possible sell if I feel like it

By 20 points? That's a bold statement. I am ready to pull the trigger, IMG, but I am wondering how you feel about the passing game. To me, the Falcons biggest question mark is at WR and the passing game. I think they will be looking at their WRs pretty closely, which could mean a lot of passes. A lot of passes in preseason could spell disaster -- i.e. dropped passes, interceptions, WRs running bad or wrong routes, etc. I agree that everything points to Atlanta in this one, but man, their passing game is in big trouble this season!!

Actually ATL has had the most rushing yards in the league
for 2 years straight. But thats cause of Vick and Dunn so
who knows what they are going to do.. NE won't play with
any sense of urgency cause they don't want to risk injury
and they have a more optimisitc feel about the season IMO

think i might take the ravens to cover over the giants. Ny has some starters that are dinged up will proably play alot of scrubs alot sooner than theyd like. still undecided but at +3 might play 2 units on the Ravens.

final thoughts on toinights game

As you know I love Atlanta and I doubt I will love a game this much
anymore this preseason. The only thing that can go wrong IMO would
be Atlanta Turning over the ball alot..


Here are a couple of my leans
SF -1.5
They will be playing their starters longer than Chicago and
they might care more about winning this game.. Get it while you
can sort of motivation

Baltimore -3
Home field, Billick is desperate for good season and will want to
start off preseason on good note.
