pretty amazing for a guy to not be top 20 material when there are only 22 other players at the QB position in the modern era in the Hall of Fame like him.

is he the the worst of that bunch? for what its worth there are only a handful of guys on that list that i'm old enough to even remember them playing in their primes, so it would be tough to come up with a good opinion on their relative greatness compared to Marino

    Troy Aikman 1989-2000
George Blanda (Also PK) 1949-1958, 1960-1975
    Terry Bradshaw 1970-1983
    Len Dawson 1957-1975
    John Elway 1983-1998
    Dan Fouts 1973-1987
    Otto Graham 1946-1955
    Bob Griese 1967-1980
    Sonny Jurgensen 1957-1974
    Jim Kelly 1986-1996
    Bobby Layne 1948-1962
    Dan Marino 1983-1999
    Joe Montana 1979-1994

I'd say you could add about 7 or 8 QB's to mention with Dan Marino that have recently retired and aren't HOF eligible yet or are still playing....

but there are about 10 QB's on that list that it would be tough for ME to make an argument as being better than Marino, for a number of reasons

I mean Bob Waterfield? Y.A Tittle?

    never foken heard of them

Kurt Warner, Brad Banks. Of course RICKY STANZI has to be up there. He was a super quarterback.

Let's not forget the legendary MARK VLASIC or JERRY REICHOW.

LMFAO I'vs never heard one serious football mind say Marino wasn't an all time top 20. One fuking sbr poster starts a thread and all of sudden its up for debate. The guy is a top 10-12 all time QB without a doubt. You can't even even 15 guys , nevermind 20. C'Mon let's hear your're list? Lol we can't fuking wait to be blown away by your're insight and knowledge.

Fishface is just stirring the pot a little. That's what we like about him. Marino was better than most when he played. They built a team around his passing game. Exactly what Indi did but you see what happens with manning out.

LMFAO @ Fishfood , I really hope your joking. If not then just quit now and pray people forget this thread ever happen. LOL Y.A. , George f'n Blanda , Tark and Troy are nowhere near Marino. Your talking about guys that needed to play on fuking all star teams to win and some still couldn't get it done. Please name me two or three dominating players Marino ever played with. The three mentioned above had several all world players lining up with them every Sun. LOL I'm not even a Marino fan , but you obviously haven't watched much football in your life. Your no different from a homeless guy yelling on a street corner.

We can all agree MARINO not in top five....................but as stated, should not even be in TOP 20 when reality speaks.

Wrong.... MARINO clearly better than all three I listed, as any unbiased NFL observer would agree.

Superior NFL analysts know that Troy Aikman was highly OVERRATED due to his outstanding supporting cast. Great line, Novacek, Emmitt Smith, Michael Irvin, and MANY MORE. Troy Aikman was not an elite QB and clearly not Marino-level.

Joe Namath threw more INTs than TDs every season of his career except for 2. He has a career QB Rating of 65. He is by far the most overrated QB of all time and it's not even close.
