    Thursday Night Football

Let's hear everyone's thoughts on this game and line. I could see this being a no play for most people. I'm leaning towards Texans -5 and the over, more so the -5, but the Colts can always surprise us again.

There's another thread on this already.

    http://www.sportsbookreview.com/forum/nfl-bettin...ight-game.html

But here's my thoughts on the game anyway....as I said in the other thread.

Houston has never won at Indy; they are 0-9. However, Indy had Manning in those games.

Houston will travel with only 2 days of practice after a bad beat at home from Carolina.

Yates is probable, but has hand, elbow and hip issues on the injury report.

Indy just won their 1st game this season, but is that enough to give them the edge in this game? This is the same team that lost 13 straight this season. Im leaning Houston, but I can see Indy pulling out a win here. It's a big gamble, and taking Indy with the points doesn't convince me.

My question is, does Indi try to win this game? They finish out against Houston and Jacksonville, two very winnable games. I can't imagine a coach and players not playing 100% in an NFL game. Does anyone think Indi will compete at a lesser level to get Luck?

colts and under are the bet, they are more competitive at home although the record doesn't show that.

texans d is tough and again colts at home play much better example the steelers game. this IMO is the same type of set in prime time.

As far as dumping the game for luck I doubt it there are two other stud QBs coming out besides what would happen if that got out pro team lays down for better draft pick they would lose picks for the next few years I think.

lot of running and clock grinding both sides, j joeseph will keep orlovsky honest maybe tamme and clark get a load of work. roll the dice on the colts and under the 40 or whatever it is

Does Houston come out and play tomorrow? They are already in the playoffs, just something to think about. No play for me

I see what your saying. Houston does not need the win; they already won the division. But do you really think they're gonna just lay down for Indy after losing to Carolina at home?

I think they care about their fans a little more than that.

No way Colts win this game outright, best play is Texans in a tease (better value than ML). As others have said, Colts can no longer "afford" to win.

Colts tease is best play IMO if you can get it over +14.

Myself I am thinking of a 10 point teaser:
    Colts +16.5
    Colts/Texans U50
    Boise St. -4

My thoughts honestly screw Yates. You got Tate and Foster running the ball...... I mean Andre Johnson is out as well. Im thinking a lot of run. But yeah Yates does cause a concern, he has been banged up and is traveling on the road with only minimal time to heal up being that this game is on a thursday night. I still have Houston -6.5, I think the run game will dominate. Hopefully win by a TD or ten! haha

    Cheers!

Why not tease Houston instead of Colts? You think Colts win outright?

I've been going back and forth on whether I should tease the Colts up or tease the Texans down. There is a good chance both of them hit. I'm thinking Colts tease is a bit safer. I just have a hard time imagining TJ Yates winning by 2 TD's on the road.

Choice should be obvious considering Houston is -290 on the ML and value of tease is -241 if +100 or -262 if -110

Sportsinsights has a betting system of 80/20 (The 80/20 NFL Rule refers to games where a home underdog is receiving 20% or fewer of spread bets)

NFL Betting System finished 2-1 this week and is now 15-6 (71.4%) on the season.

    The Colts could easily fit.

    JUST AN FYI

I don't think colts win outright but I think the chance of the texans winning are less than the colts losing by 17 or more.. The texans current offense isn't some point scoring juggernaut like they were. Plus if they do take a substantial lead look for them to rest starters.
