    Giants-Jets: Battle of NY

Who you got in NYG vs NYJ. Big playoff hopes rest on this game for both teams. In my opinino, this is the biggest game of Week 16.

I really like Eli and the Giants when they are backed up against a wall like they are now. But I think the Jets matchup pretty well with the Giants. The Jets are going to run the football and see if NYG's linebackers can make plays, and I bet Sanchez does well against NYG's weak defense.

    Lean towards NYJ -2.5.

Falcons and Saints on the Monday night is bigger and better than this.

Both teams will miss the post-season after shooting themselves in the foot this week.

I'm going to the game. Got kick ass seats, but paid for them. I took the jets -2.5. The Giants are bickering amongst themselves and this game means more to Big Mouth Rex.

I think Giants-Jets has more importance though. Both New Orleans and Atlanta are going to make the playoffs, and I don't think anyone actually thinks Atlanta has a chance to win the division. The loser of Giants-Jets likely won't make the playoffs. This is pretty much a playoff game for both teams, and they both share the same city.

That is the only play if one wants to play this tough game, in my opinion.

Jets should pone the Giants. Eli is the most overrated QB in the NFL and the Jets secondary will expose him.

Mark Sanchez has been inconsistent this season but the Giants secondary cant cover anybody.

    Jets by 2 TD's

Eli Manning is overrated? Eli Manning this season has more passing yards than AARON RODGERS right now. Eli has a 61% completion, yes Eli throws a lot of picks like last week but, Eli beats New England in New England this year, comes back against Dallas a couple weeks ago, Eli is an elite quarterback in this league if you like it or not. He is one of the clutchest quarterbacks I've ever seen and tied the record for most 4th quarter touchdown passes in a season with 14 and could break that record with the next two games. The giants are a bad home favorite pick and a good road dog pick and technically this week they're "away" if you want to make some money this week take the Giants and the points. Jets are average and Mark Sanchez is the most overrated quarterback in the league. The Jets defense isn't good anymore, they just let up 45 points to the Eagles and once you take away Mark Sanchez's first read he panics, look for the Giants D-Line to destroy the Jets O-Line and take this game when it matters most, Giants +3.

The Eagles could've scored 60 if they wanted to and the Jets also made Ryan Fitzpatrick look like Aaron Rodgers in their last game. If Stevie Johnson doesn't drop 2 tds then they lose. The Jets are overrated while the Giants are underachievers. I think Ryans big f#%$n mouth is going to make sure the Giants are ready to play this time. They did win in New England, in Philly, and in Dallas.

Why is that game so big? Not like Falcons are going to catch the Saints, so it is really just if the Falcons get into the playoffs.

This game is for both teams to fight for the playoffs, both control their own destiny in this game.

I'd like to see how the Jets D looks after playing New Orleans in the Superdome and Aaron Rodgers with a full crew. I didn't see Vick hanging up 45 on the Giants? Bottom line....the Jets just aren't that good and the Giants are too unpredictable so putting big money on either one is like flipping a coin.

First off how can Sanchez be overrated if no one talks like he's good
Second the only giant defender I worry bout is jpp tuck is so banged up he's not the same and osi isn't playing I think
Third it don't matter who the qb is Rex Grossman Charlie whithurst/tavaris Jackson

Game will probably come down to NYG's D-line vs NYJ's O-line. NYG needs to get pressure on mark sanchez with their front four, if they don't, the Giants stand no chance because their linebackers can't play coverage, and their CB's suck too.

Seems like the oddsmakers favor NYJ a bit.

Its not really a true road game for NYG and the Jets coming off a pretty shitty loss against Philly. So to get the full 3 here to me is kind of odd. But the NYG defense has been gettin shredded lately.

I do think the Giants are making a mistake calling out Darelle Revis. He'll now shut down whoever he's on for sure. Im am kind of surprised it's the NYG's and not the NYJ that are taking alot of trash.

probably something Rex Ryan enjoys: opposing teams playing his game.

I would assume Plaxico Burress is pretty motivated this game as he gets to go against his former team. Tough game to figure out though.

Tough game to cap. Whoever said Giant D line vs Jets O line is dead on. I just can't see see Sanchez beating a good QB, until he beats one I fade him. (Romo is only onea nd as we know Romo gave them that game and Dez couldn't run).

Sanchez is usually pretty good in big games like these.

I can see the NYJ defense stopping the run game that has been flat. Im leaning NYJ here but wouldnt take the -3....I cant see this going to -3.5 so its better to wait and probably see -2 or -2.5 which is a much better number obviously.

Anyone is good against NYG's defense. Rex Grossman looked like Drew Brees last week. Giants have weak linebacker play, and outside of Corey Webster, none of those guys in the secondary are really getting it done. If the Giants don't get a pass rush on Sanchez, as much as he sucks, he'll put up 25 + points.

The Giants are the better team. Better QB, better running game and better pass rushers. Head coaches are about the same and receiving corps are about even.

So lets brake it down from a non-biased view..................

    qb-giants
    running game-jets
    receivers-push
    oline-push
    dline-giants
    linebackers-jets
    secondary-jets
special teams-I would say jets but they fumble alot so ill give it to giants

Agree with everything you said, I took the ML at 2.41 in what I consider pretty much a 50/50 game, good value.

Not true, Jets have been talking WAY MORE trash, you're not keeping up . Especially Burress has been talking nonstop, how is he going to back that up?
