    I don't think the facemask would have mattered. It was after the fumble so it wouldn't have resulted in a first down on the 1 inch line for minny anyway, it would have been 15 yards from where the lions recover.

    Right but if you have one play from the 5 or so yard line you've got a shot to put it in. Not so much from the 35 or 40 or where ever the Lions recovered the ball.
