How many games do bears the rest of the season?

Any chance they lose out? I wouldn't put it past them.

Bears will go 3-3 and make the playoffs.

Hanie isn't that bad and the Bears' defense is playing extremely well.

They are superior in other areas of their team. Defense, and Special teams will be a focal point now. Hell they wet to the super bowl with that bum Gross Rexman. Anything can happen.

I would not be surprised to see them go 4-2.

Me neither. Their schedule has been brutal to this point, and thankfully for them, it is pretty easy over their last 6.

The only good team left on their schedule is the Packers, but by that point, that game will probably mean little to the Pack unless they are hell bent on going 16-0.

If Cutler can return for the last regular season game to get back into a little groove, the Bears may have a playoff run in them.

The latest is that he will have surgery tomorrow and might be back before the end of the regular season (6 weeks). That seems optimistic. But 3-3 should get it done (potentially even 2-4) and that is very doable even w/o Cutler. Bigger concern is what kind of rhythm he will have if his first game back is a playoff game in a hostile environment like New Orleans or Dallas.

I think the bigger concern is whether they play New Orleans or Dallas. I think they can win at Dallas easily. Don't think they can win at New Orleans.

Yeah, I agree. @ New Orleans is probably the toughest game they can play, IMO tougher than @ GB. Saints are a beast in their dome. Dallas is jeckyll and hyde. Same for the Giants. 49ers obviously damn good too, but untested in some ways.

Would one of these teams just call Jeff George instead of trotting out Hanies and Palkos and Painters and Leinarts.

That's my thought too. If ARodg, Big Ben, Brees, and Brady go down. I think their seasons' end too. Lots of optimism for a guy who was behind Todd Collins in this year NFC championship game.

As long as they win 2, I'll win my over 8.5 wins futures bet, then the Bears can go **** themselves.

Short answer....no. Jeff George!? You're kidding, right? Jeff George couldn't play at 34 and you want him to play at 44?

If the Bears were to call a retired player, Marc Bulger comes to mind, esp. given his history with Martz. But really even that would only be in a backup role. Hanie is not that bad and is going to be way more familiar with the offense.

Their season isn't 'over' because their schedule is really easy down the stretch and Cutler might be back by the playoffs.

If they are the 6th seed, they'll probably be going to New Orleans so that isn't fun, but with Cutler, they obviously would have a shot to win.

And if they can go 3-3 or 4-2 down the stretch, they could conceivably get the 5th seed, which would probably land them in Dallas/New York and the Bears are a better overall football team than both of those teams.

Let's see. Who has changed from the coaching staff who made that mistake has been fired? Not martz. So if martz didnt think he could play last year, he doesn't think he play this year.

Or maybe he just wrongly thought Todd Collins *could* play. Fair point though, I guess.

Hanie won't be mistaken for Cutler, but I think he can do a reasonable job. He'll be playing for his NFL future too. If he plays well enough, he may get a shot to start with another team.

I think Bears will design a lot of out of the pocket plays for Hanie and I think he'll do well.

Hanie reminds me of a better version of Christan Ponder to be honest with you, from what I've seen of him.

Indy doesn't have their qb. Does it matter if they play at home or on the road? Forte can really be neutralized without a stud qb.

Indy doesn't have the Bears defense and special teams either. Bears never relied on Cutler (or any QB) as the Colts relied on Manning. Plus, Forte is a big weapon.

3-3; they still make the playoffs. Hanie isn't bad. Forte carries them. Cutler comes back for the last regular season game

People saying the season is over are smoking crack. Bears were a superbowl team in 2006 with grossman starting who is no better than hanie

They'll go 4-2 or 5-1, only 2 loseable games on the schedule are green bay and oakland

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the only way the Bears can make the playoffs is on a wildcard?

Except that cutler played like garbage in 2 of the 5 games and bears still won

This team is built around run game, defense and special teams. Not to mention that if you look at their schedule, id take hanie over 4 of the 6 qbs they're gonna face anyways (hanie >>tebow, palko, tarvaris jackson and ponder)

Falcons and Lions would be the 2 to take them out of the wildcard.
    Does that happen?
