Why are Da Bears only favored by 3.5?

If home field is worth 3 pts then vegas is saying the Bears are only .5 point better than San Diego? Are people still waiting for the Chargers to turn it around? This is not the same 14-2,12-4 team from years past. Mistake prone team vs. team that lives on opponents mistakes. Two teams headed in opposite directions line off by at least 3 pts.

It's because Vegas has their power rankings that they base their lines on and they have san diego very high in their power rankings because of what they have done in the past. That's also why San Diego's ATS record is pretty mediocre this year (they haven't covered a spread since early october). Bad matchup for San Diego too cause the chargers are very turnover prone and the bears are getting turnovers at an incredible rate recently.

    Chicago - 31, San Diego - 14

When Rivers and San Diego show up they will beat anyone, even though San Diego is like 1-30 they still can win the AFC west because it's still minor league football out there and all the teams are inept. If u like Sandiego take the moneyline cause if they show up they will win. Look closely on special teams. If San Diego kicks the ball to Hester and every coach isn't fired immediately after the game you'll know for sure you have yourself some real shit for brains over there.

Still though, you gotta love the ferocity the bears have played with recently - their 4-0 last 4 games giving up just 15 points per game on defense

I think you see Rivers throw 2 picks in this game, bears force 2 fumbles and it should set up for a lot of easy offense

Line is very low in my opinion, for all the reasons mentionted turn over prone team vs opportunistic defense ,plus there's always the possible special team blow up for Sd vs the best returner in the game

what nobody has mentioned is the staggering amount of injuries on the SD side. They just IR'd another D lineman yesterday (Dielman), their best O-line talent, Marcus McNeil, is very likely not going to play and neither is Floyd. This is in addition to all the talent they've already lost to IR this year. Every year there's 1 team that gets hit especially hard by the injury bug and this year it's the Chargers turn (I suppose you can make this case for KC and St Louis as well) . This seems to be lost on the average fan who just reads the scores come Monday morning. Oh, and they also have one of the most underachieving head coaches in the game...but you knew that already. The Bears should win this by 10 pts easily. Even with a **** for brains QB like Cutler.
