    Broncos +6

Let me preface this by saying yes, I know lakerboy is big on the Jets. And yes, I hate Tim Tebow. Guy has cost me a fortune through the years; I've been trying to fade him since his days at Florida, all the way through last week. Never seems to work.

I realize Denver's margin for error is very small here, as we saw in the DET game when they were absolutely ripped to shreds. However, I look at it like this:

The Jets just played a huge SNF tilt at home against the Pats. Big, emotional game. They're still in it in the fourth quarter, only to get curb-stomped late. Demoralizing loss. Sanchez was, well, Sanchez. Unreliable and unpredictable.

Now they're on short rest, heading into the thin air. I'm not saying Denver wins this game SU, but I think Tebow and the boys cover. Let's face facts: the guy has 7 TD's and 1 INT. He's not going to set the world on fire with his passing, but Denver has adjusted its offense accordingly so that he doesn't have to.

As long as the Broncos don't do anything foolish and fall behind big with early turnovers, I think they cover. It won't be easy, but I like Denver +6.

if jets can stop the run, which i think they will, how does denver get points? that's my main issue with taking the broncos vs a good defense

As of now, yes Pauly. Will probably wind up being a play, though. Won't be able to pass on a TNF game; I don't have the discipline.

I can guarantee you one thing: there's no way in hell I'm laying 6 with The Fighting Sanchezes in this spot.

Jets' run D isn't anything special.

It's not bad, but it's not stout either.

This game really isn't worth playing. On one side LB is going all in and now we have you just being generally retarded as well. You could probably wait on this line

broncos play well with the lead...they control the clock by running the ball.

If they fall behind more then 2 tds, they have to start throwing the ball more often which tebow cant do.

Also, the big question is whether jets can stop the run....coz they have been average this year.

Im not playing this game but if I have to hear how great the jets D is one more time im going to vomit - they are giving up over 22 points per game! And over 27 on the road!!!

Not saying denver will win the game or that im playing it. Just stop having tunnel vision of how good you think the jets D is and do some research. Now can their D play well vs tebow that remains to be seen. I'm just saying so many people when I took NE last week blah blah'd about how great the jets D was.....and well it wasn't.

Totally agree. Chris Carter was on Mike-n-Mikes radio show yesterday and talked about how hard it is to go on the road and play on Thursdays. You don't have enough time for your body with rehab, whirlpools, etc. or studying game film. Then there is the Tebow factor. I didn't believe any of the following:

    Noahs Ark
    Adam & Eve
    Moses was 900 years old
    Goliath was 9'6"
A QB in todays pass happy NFL completes 2 total passes and wins a road game by a TD.

The guy really truly is a miracle and I choose not to bet against him. Who else throws the ball like a Downs Syndrome victim and goes 3-1 in the NFL?

Tebow and their RBs go for 150+ on the ground and Sanchez turns the ball over 2-3 times....one setting up a Denver TD. Its not that likely and the Jets should win but then again 2 completed passes for the game in the NFL is supposed to be a guaranteed loser as well.

I wonder what the stats are since TNF began? You make a good point but Oakland traveling to San Diego isn't exactly like NY to Denver.

game plan: Jets stack the box to stuff the run, have spy assigned to Tebow 100% of the time and have the corner talent to play man on very avg receiving core. Force Tebow to beat you with his arm. Denver may not score 10 points in this game however can you trust Sanchez to get you 16 - 17 points for the cover? that's the question you have to ask yourself. a pass here on the side but still looking into the 'under'.

Can't play the Jets here because this is a dreadful situational spot for them. Playing on the road on a short week in a letdown spot after an emotional loss to their most hated rival that killed their chances of winning the division.

Denver swarmed all over Cassel on Sunday and LT is out for the Jets limiting their ground game. Denver can stack the box too on Sanchez and just wait for handouts. I liked RB Joe McKnight at USC....not sure why the Jets never give him a shot? The Jets are better but this one SCREAMS PASS imo. Tebow is doing crazy things and you rarely get value on a overhyped/overbet big city team like the Jets. A normal 5-4 team going on the road vs a team thats won 3 of 4 would be like 3 or 3.5 points max.

There are dozens maybe hundreds of better cappers on here but I do know this much. Sports bettors need to be honest with themselves....its either action/recreational betting for entertainment or trying to make a profit wagers. You can't have it both ways so you have to pass on a ton of TV games to make money.

Take a look at their schedule so far...

    Cowboys (high powered offense)
Patriots TWICE (Brady, need I say more?)
    Raiders (with McFadden)
    Ravens on the road
    Chargers (before their meltdown)

Let us not forget they played 3 straight road games at Oakland (West coast trip is never easy), Ravens at home in front of a national audience, and the third straight road game against the Patriots.

Fred Jackson had 41 rushing yards going into the 4th QTR (finished with 80). Pats had 7 carries for 10 yards in the first half (60 rushing yards total in the game)

The NY Jets are the best 5 win team in the NFL according to the following smart people in Vegas:

    Voters
Jimmy Vaccaro: Director of Sportsbook Operations for the Lucky's chain in Nevada.
Jay Kornegay: Sportsbook director at Las Vegas Hilton.
Johnny Avello: Sportsbook director at Wynn Las Vegas.
Chris Andrews: Assistant Sportsbook director for the Cal-Neva chain in Nevada.

Here are the best and worst teams:

    BEST TEAMS WORST TEAMS
7 Wins or more Packers (No. 1) Texans (No. 6)
    6 wins Patriots (No. 2) Bengals(No. 16)
5 Wins Jets (No. 8) Titans (No. 18)
    4 Wins Chargers (No. 15) Broncos(No. 25)
3 or less Eagles (No. 12) Colts (No. 32

With all that being said I would in no way lay 6 points here. The smart bet would be UNDER 40.5...

I think everyone is overlooking the fact that McGahee is OUT!!!
What happend in the Detroit game without McGahee?
Denver won by 7 over the Cheifs but they still struggled on offense.

    Edit ALSO MORENO OUT!!!

Thats two main players on your one deminional offense out for the game. If they do manage to play they arent 100%.
