Broncos get my early lean for Thursday's game

Should be a big spot advantage for Denver here as a home dog. Anyone agree?

Jets stack box, make Tebow throw, Revis with two picks, Jets win by 10+

I hate betting on the Jets but I can't bring myself to even consider the Broncos winning this game (or keeping it that close). If anyone can explain to my how Denver will score more than 10 points I'd love to hear it.

Denver lost McGahee and Knowshon Moreno is out for the season so they will try to rush with Lance Ball, who had a decent game against the Chiefs but in my opinion is not a star RB and will not make much difference on the field. Tebow has no help when it comes to receivers, without Brandon Lloyd, Decker is the only deep threat to Jets D. Additionally Rex has coached college and knows how to play against college-like offense. Denver has no chance and Jets should be favored much higher than 5½. Also U 40½ for me on this one.

The line will probably hit 7 by gametime, looks like everyone already pounding jets.

Once I found out McGahee was out I took the Jets at -4.5. I placed my bet around lunch time, since then the line jumped to -5.5 so im satisfied with the play.

The Broncos have been winning with defence and so have the Jets. Forget the Tebow hype, he is not a QB and the approach the Denver team is forced to take with him at the helm has worked to some degree so far. Against the weak rush defense of Oakland it looked good. Against KC it was mediocre. Against the Lions and Miami it was dismal.

The Jets feature a stout 3 and active 4 in their defensive front. I don't think this run only act is gonna fly against a 3/4. Against some of the weaker 4/3 sets it may have looked OK but this is by far the best D Tebow is going to face. If he thinks he is gonna get any air time against the Jet corners..........

Defensively the Denver scheme is going to rely on its ability to stop the interior pass. If Denver's leading tackler and cover linebacker Wesley Woodyard can't go the Broncs are going to be in trouble. Dustin Kellar will have a field day. If the Jets have Joe McKnight written into a recieving role out of the backfield in place of LT the Bronco's will not cover him with Brian Dawkins. He flat out lacks the footspeed to do so.

In short the game plan available to the Jets is gonna be so much harder to prepare for than what the Broncos will throw at the Jets.

I don't like the matchups at all for the Broncos in this one. All hype aside and trying to look at the events on the field I can't back them here.

I did not get the good early number here and will wait to see the active report to play it at all. If the 6 is available I will make it 6.5 for plus money. I just do not see how the Denver squad scores much at all here.

LT is injured and might not play. Jets D sucks! Sanchezica sucks!

I have $1200 on the Broncos. All they have to do is keep it close.

This is now at 7 at SIA. I already have the Jets at -4 but I'm thinking of getting on the Broncos at +7 now.

I disagree with this pick--which means there's a 60% shot of you being right. :-)

mentioned it in today's Wildcard Wednesday blog... along wiht my thoughts on unanimous Cy Young winner Justin Verlander; this is the first thing we have awarded to Detroit in the past five years that everyone agreed should be given to them.

i dont trust either of these two teams to cover. Too much unpredictable play from the QBs and defenses. Ill take a look at the over, but I wont touch the spread with a ten foot pole

Spoke about it in my thread today... like the Jets.. as i said
"in the decade since John Elway left, the Bronco’s offense has been a joke. In fact, the last time the phrase "plenty of weapons" was used in Colorado...it wasn't in Denver, it was in Columbine."

I just don't see how Tebow can lead these scrubs to a win.
