Packers fan here, hate em both but lots of respect. See them nonstop and no doubt that AP is top RB-- even today like as in right now.

Mccoy plays in the most explosive offense in the world. On most plays, the defense has a QB spy to account for Vick's 4.4 speed and usually 1 or 2 safeties over the top to account for Jackson/Maclin. That means that a defense only has 8 or 9 players to account for Mccoy

you can put any RB on the eagles and they will put up huge numbers. Most running back friendly system in the world to play for. Mccoy averaged barely 4.0 yards per carry last year when Vick did not play

great player but this is not a career achievement discussion

The best All around players at the RB position right now are Fred Jackson and Matt Forte. I would put AP as #3 or #4

then why did you say forte will be #1 in every rb stat? does the TD stat not count?

    I meant yardage, not TDs

Forte's not the short down back and he plays in a mediocre offensive system - impossible for him to score that many TDs

is ypc not a real rb stat either? not even looking outside this game tonight.... mccoy has him in both of those stats... might wanna focus on being just the best rb in this game tonight, before talking about the whole league

Like I said, AP has had 1300 rushing yards or more in each year of his career. Forte has never had more than 1300 yards in a season. Enough said. And AP is getting 1300+ yards in only 14 and 15 games. WOW.

And AP has been doing this facing 8 man fronts thanks to Tavaris Jackson, and last year under Favre (when he sucked).

Still, tell me how Forte is better than AP? Go to the stats. Like I said, AP at least 1300 + yards in each season since he has entered the NFL. Forte is yet to have a 1300+ yard season. Not to mention he had a year under 1000 yards, and another year where he just barely broke 1000 yards.

If you have an 1,000 yard rushing year, and you are the primary back, you aren't doing your job well. That's about 62 yard on the ground per game. Not very impressive. Great RB's get you 1300 rushing yards consistently each year.

That right there is why Forte is the best RB in the league

fukking idiot Cutler misses a wide open Forte that would have been a 10 yard gain and easy first down

I've never seen an RB do so much on such a crappy team

Go watch AP play, and he is a much better RB on a much worst team. At least Forte has had Cutler, AP has only played one year with a good QB (Favre's good year). Other than that, it has been a mix of Tavaris Jackson, A-Broken-Favre, Joe Webb, McNabb, and Ponder.
