With the regular season almost half over, I took a look at the NFL futures at a few different websites. Obviously, Green Bay and New England are the two favorites, but their odds aren't good enough to justify a long term investment. So, taking them out of the equation, I found two teams that I believe have the best value, and have a good chance to cash. I took one team from each conference.
Pittsburgh Steelers +1050 (5Dimes) - They were so close last season, and have shown no signs of a Super Bowl hangover so far this season. The win over New England was huge for their confidence and for potential home field advantage in the playoffs. Ben Roethlisberger just wins, and this team knows how to get it done in the playoffs. Great odds on the team that I believe will be the #1 seed in the AFC.
New Orleans Saints +1500 (Sportsbook.com) - Despite their loss at St. Louis, I still think they're the 2nd best team in the NFC. They went toe to toe with Green Bay on the road in week 1. They've played 5 road games and only 3 home games so far. There's no reason why they can't still win 11 games and get a bye. They won the Super Bowl just two seasons ago. Although I believe Green Bay will win the NFC again, I will take a shot on New Orleans at these odds.
