Week 8 SNF: Cowboys @ Eagles

Another Philly-Dallas game to come down to the wire? Do you guys think the Eagles will cover the three at home?

Over should be the best play of this game.

Probably tease Dallas up, and the over.

A little worried about Romo throwing picks to the Phili secondary, but I think they'll use DeMarco a lot to set up the pass. Should take some pressure off Romo.

I think the Eagles are 12-0 after a Bye under Reid, but with the new rules who knows.

at first I liked the Eagles but after breaking down the matchups the only match up that slightly favors the Eagles is having 2 good cornerbacks to put the clamps down on Bryant and Austin.

However the Eagles will not be able to stop Jason Witten and the Murray and Jones....

I expect Mike Vick to take a beating by Ware and the rest of the Cowboys prolific pass rush.

Also i think the public will pound Eagles b/c there are a lot of Romo haters out there.... good news for the Cowboys is they won't need Romo to do much to win this game.

before the season started i would never have expected the spread to be so small. the dog covers the number 64% of the time when -3 to -3.5

Dez is to big for either of those corners and as much zone as they play id expect Austin to find some holes so wouldnt worry to much there either...

Cowboys here! They fixed their main flaw; the lack of running game! Call me a homer but i think the Cowboys roll

Cowboys or no play IMO. Two evenly matched teams with explosive offensives so over may be a good bet.

Andy Reid with the Eagles out of the Bye week and at home sounds good.

But this game looks too close.

Nnamdi is a big corner, it is whether the Eagles decide to let him lock up one on one on Dez or not. They haven't been playing enough man on him.

More than likely Castillo will put Nnamdi on Witten, then let DRC and Asante play Bryant and Austin.

I am all over the Eagles in a big big way! They have their backs against the wall, are not as big of bumbling buffoons as people think. Have had 2 weeks to really work on chemistry and are at home in prime time and really want to stick it to America for thinking they ARE bumbling buffoons.

Dallas is fresh of a a big win against . . . . St. Louis and have showen that the only team they can cover conceivably is . . . . St. Louis which speaks columns.

    Plus - Bridgejumper picked them so . . . . . .

Call me a homer but i think the Cowboys roll
LOL - I said those exact words about Wisconsin last week. Well - except for the "cowboy" part.

"Leading the league in big plays, much to my surprise, are the Panthers with 41 and the Raiders with 37. Of course, both those teams, as well as the third-ranked Texans (35), have played seven games. The Eagles and Patriots, who've both only played six games are tied for third with 35 big plays. So despite their 2-4 record, the Eagles lead the league in big plays per game on offense.

And the Cowboys, playing with a beat-up quarterback and gimpy receivers against the toughest starting schedule of any team? They rank right behind the Eagles and the Tom Brady-led Patriots with 34 big plays in six games.

Be honest. Did you expect that? The Cowboys were mocked for being unable to break a long run in the first couple of games, and everybody knows that Romo simply cannot throw the deep ball. But right up there with the Eagles and the Patriots? Holy Mackerel, Batman!" http://www.bloggingtheboys.com/2011/...ecide-the-game

I LOVE THE BIRDS HERE BECAUSE as i mentioned in my WEEK 8 PICKS
"The Cowboys are good but Murray does not have another game like that and let's face it, at 14-0 under Andy Reid, the Eagles coming off a bye are like someone coming OUT as BI--both are twice as likely to score!"

Dudes... please take five minutes to watch my always entertaining, occasionally accurate Geno's Picks for this week. Where i break down this and 4 other NFL games Would love your feed back.. favorite joke? Dumbest Pick?

I lean Cowgirls ML as well. The Eagles have yet to show me any reason to bet them. But them coming off the bye they've been unstoppable so I'm staying away from this game.

As a huge eagles fan... i am not touching this game... personally, i think eagles win in a close game. Dallas could definitely cover the 3.5 though.

    Viewing it just on paper...

    QB: Eagles
    RB: Eagles
    WR: Eagles
    TE: Cowboys
OLine: believe it or not, eagles
    DLine: Push
    LBs: Cowboys
    Corners: Eagles
Safeties: Lean Cowboys, but neither are very good
    Special Teams: Push
    Head Coach: Eagles
    OCoord: Eagles
    DCoor: Cowboys

On paper, Eagles have the better team. That along with the game being at home on prime time, with the eagles backs against the wall, along with Reids success after a bye, is enough to keep me from touching the cowboys.

Obviously games arent played on paper though... I actually think the cowboys have a great team this yr, and definitely think they can do some damage...

Good luck whatever side you are on.... ill be down at the game, with no money on either side and just enjoying watching the birds kicking some cowgirl ass

    QB: debatable
    RB: Eagles
WR: ill take Dez and Austin over djax and Maclin all day
    TE: Cowboys:
OLine: believe it or not, eagles..not buying this but not gonna argue
    DLine: Push
    LBs: Cowboys
    Corners: Eagles
Safeties: Lean Cowboys, but neither are very good
    Special Teams: Push
Head Coach: eagles...guess ill give you this one..even tho you prob one of the fans that calls for his head every other yr..
    OCoord: Eagles
DCoor: Cowboys....does phi even have a d-cord?think boys should get double credit here..

    Cowboys and Under

Cowboys finally have a runningback out of Murray
so you have to believe they will be looking to grind it out and run some clock off and keep the ball out of the eagles hands..

happens every time 2 evenly matched, potent offenses play..
it becomes a game of keep-away

Cowboy ML is also a pretty smooth play

Really not trying to argue with you hear, but those comparisons are as unbiased as it gets...

QB: debatable how is this debatable? both qbs love to make bad decisions at times, but vick can do everything that romo can do, but better... where is the debate?
    RB: Eagles
WR: ill take Dez and Austin over djax and Maclin all day you should know that more then two wide receivers play in a football game per team... even though I will still say maclin and jackson are ahead of dez and miles, for the sake of the argument i will say they are a push.... but who do the cowboys have after that? the eagles can go 5 deep if needed. Avant is way better then any cowboy number 3, then you have the talent of steve smith at number 4 and solid riley copper if ever needed at number 5... .the cowboys wr core ends after 2.... bc of this, even if dez and miles (i am personally high on both of them) are a head of djax and maclin, the eagles take the nod on the WR comparison. But even if you measured just the top 2 on a side by side comparison, it is really a tough argument to say dez and miles over the eagles two

    TE: Cowboys:
OLine: believe it or not, eagles..not buying this but not gonna argue how can you argue? i know everyone was down on them coming into the season bc everyone watches espn... but have you seen this offensive line unit play this year? Mccoy has holes all day every game this year, leading this rushing attack as the #1 rushing team in football.. And the eagles have only given up 9 sacks which is good for 4th in football. All this without even being all healthy even once yet. Today will be the first game that they have all their pieces. Peters and Herremans are probowl caliber players, Watkins is only getting better, and the other guys have played solid all year.. Not saying they are a top line in football, but i think it would be tough to argue the cowboys over them
    DLine: Push
    LBs: Cowboys
    Corners: Eagles
Safeties: Lean Cowboys, but neither are very good
    Special Teams: Push
Head Coach: eagles...guess ill give you this one..even tho you prob one of the fans that calls for his head every other yr..I am one of the few that has been a reid supporter all along... he def has his flaws, but i know he puts out a contending team almost every yr in spite of those flaws....there is really no argument you can make against this one
    OCoord: Eagles
DCoor: Cowboys....does phi even have a d-cord?think boys should get double credit here: TRUE, I wanted Rob Ryan ..

Even with the few you are trying to debate, eagles still have the better team on paper... obviously this means nothing though... so we will see how tonight goes
