Matt Forte's Projection for this year based on 6 games (more than 1/3 the season so I don't want to hear "small sample size"):
1405 rush yards, 1016 receiving yards, 5.3 yards per carry, 10.6 yards per catch
Marshall Faulk in 1999:
1381 rush yards, 1048 receiving yards, 5.5 yards per carry, 12 yards per catch
Matt Forte, who is playing on an average offensive team with a terrible offensive line, is putting up numbers that Marshall Faulk put up in his career season. I can't even imagine what kind of numbers he would put up playing behind say Oakland's offensive line. So is there any doubt now that Forte is the most underrated player in football??? The fact that he doesn't show up on every single person's top 3 list for running backs in the league is a travesty
