There chances are not dead, there is no great team in their division, and a good team is even debatable. If they can get hot in the 2nd half and win 8-9 games that could be enough to win the division. I don't honestly believe the redskins are a quality team.

I totally agree, Even if Vick get hurt they still have a mediocre Qb Vince Young,( i think he pretty good, I wanted him in SF)(Smith is doing okay now though) Their defense is new, so they just need to get their chemistry together. This nfc east is this years version of the nfc west. Giants suck, Redskins are frauds.... and the cowboys are in a similar situation as the eagles-- better then their record says..

if philly can take down washington this week, they will go into the bye only two games out of first, after this terrible start.. that will be the only bright spot for this team

9-7 might make the playoffs in this division, which would mean philly would need to go 7-3 their last 10 games, which is a definite possibility if they can get the braindead errors worked out along with the stupid turnovers.

I have heard a lot of this is the best (pick a losing record here) teams a lot, and there is a reason why they have losing records. Their defense sucks and their Oline is horrible. The only way they can hope to win is to outscore people, and that just aint going to happen with vick at QB.

Theyre actually a lot like the patriots, everyone thinks the pats are awesome, they actually arent that good, their offense is simply good enough to outscore everyone, if they couldnt score Pats would be in the same boat as Philly is right now. But scoring alot and winning hides a lot of glaring problems some teams have.

Unless they resurrect Jim Johnson, it's going to be hard for PHI to make it now as hard as it is for me to admit it. Vick can't overcome how bad the defense is. The game vs WSH is truly do or die for the season and if they lose b/c of defense again Juan Castillo has to be fired immediately.

Next week they play the top team in their division with one of the best defenses in the whole league and a good offensive line to boot. They are not beating washington.

Absolutely true.... if eagles win vs first place wash, they are 2 games back of first with a 2-4 record going into the bye. The redskins then play New England (chalk that up as a loss), so the eagles will only be one game behind wash coming out of the bye, and only a game or two behind dallas and ny, depending what they do....
