New Orleans @ Jacksonville UNDER 45

This is my favorite play on the board. With Blaine Gabbert at the helm, the Jaguars' offense should look to run run run the ball all day against the #9 rush defense in the NFL, allowing just 90.7 yards per game to teams that feature Ryan Grant, Matt Forte, and Arian Foster. The New Orleans defense is allowing 29.3 points per game, but they've played 2 offenses ranked in the top 10 in scoring. Jacksonville is scoring a meager 9.7 points per game.

Jacksonville's defense is very underrated. With key free agent signings in the offseason, the linebacker corps has been solidified, the secondary has improved, and they quietly boast the #4 defense in terms of total yards given up. They've allowed 20.7 points per game, but that number should be lower. When Luke McCown headed the offense, he threw 4 interceptions in just 2 games with 3 of those interceptions being in Jacksonville territory, resulting in 17 points allowed on turnovers. Blaine Gabbert turned the ball over once deep in Carolina territory last week (Carolina did not score on the ensuing possession), and seems to have a good sense of ball security. The turnovers, and thus points allowed should be lower than the current average the Jaguars sport.

The game went about how I expected. The Jaguars' defense held up despite the offense's inability to sustain drives. The under covers by 12.
