After a very lengthy absence, and a very rough MLB year, I am back on the saddle and ready to make us all some dollar$! NFL and NHL are my cup of tea, and well, I wont talk trash, I'll just let the picks do the talking.
Lets get it rolling:
Game #1: Detroit Lions +2.5 @ Dallas Cowboys.
Dallas is playing hurt. Dallas is coming off a short week. Detroit is looking like they are in mid season form. Matthew Stafford has all his weapons at his disposal. Dallas center Phil Costa will NOT be able to contain Suh. This is probably the steal of the week, with the wrong team being favored. (IMO)
Taking the Lions on the point spread and loving the ML @+125.
wager1: $25 on Lions +2.5
wager2: $25 on Lions ML
Game #2: New Orleans Saints -7 @ Jacksonville Jaguars.
Do you know what a Greg Williams defense does to rookie QB's? I smell a nasty blow out, as should you.
wager3: $75 on Saints -7
Game #3: Atlanta Falcons @ Seattle Seahawks +4.5
All I'm saying is this Seattle Team at home is better than most people think. That is one tough stadium to play in, and I think this is the game where we see Marshawn Lynch score a td or 2. I like the Falcons to win a FG game, but I love the Seahawks to cover the line. I also like both defenses to keep this game within' reach and under the total. Yes, I think the Falcons defense will all of a sudden "show up".
wager4: $25 on Seahawks +4.5
wager5: $25 under 39
Game #4: Buffalo Bills -3 @ Cincinnati Bengals
Alot of people are seeing this at a complete let down game for the Bills. I however, think that this team is playing each game, as it is.....game by game. Chan Gailey has a bunch of tricks up his sleeve, even for what some are calling the #3 defense in the NFL. He has in the dressing room stressed the importance of coming out hot in this game.
Just something to think about: the team that was ranked #1 in overall defensive ranking last week are now entering this week as the #14 overall defense..... just some food for thought.....
Bengals are holding teams to a tune of 276.3 total yards per game. They have played Cleveland, Denver and San Francisco thus far. All of those 3 teams combine for super offensive production dont they? HA! if you didn't get it, i'm being sarcastic. The Bills should be able to punch a new rectum in this Bengals team, which by the way is also boasting a rookie QB. You can bet your bottom dollar the Bills will win this game, and it may actually be over by the half.
wager6: $75 Bills -3
Game #5: New England Patroits -4.5 @ Oakland Raiders
The Raiders strength is that of the wrecking ball that is McFadden. That won't be enough to run with this very upset and humbled Patriots team. Look for the Patriots to run out to an early lead, and run up the score. The taste of last week is fresh in this teams mouth, and they want to get rid of that taste in a very bad way. I really feel sorry for Jason Campbell and company this week.....
