Colts Desperate for a QB bring in Ex-Lions QB

Colts agreed to terms with QB Dan Orlovsky...

Collins nursing concussion-like symptoms and Curtis Painter can't seem to get in sync with the team...

These guys just spent 14M on Collins what a waste.

I read this a while back. and yeah a waste, they could even have gotten Garrard. and hell I would have even gone after Carson.

"Technically, the Indianapolis Colts signed Kerry Collins to a two-year, $14 million contract. Practically, the cost of Peyton Manning's insurance policy is $4 million for the 2011 season. On Wednesday, Collins told local media he signed a one-year deal. In fact, the contract is two years in duration. Collins got a $2.5 million signing bonus and has a 2011 base salary of $1.5 million. The 2012 portion of the contract calls for Collins to earn a base salary of $10 million."

Indy is in termoil. Doesn't matter who they have in. Defense is a major issue

I don't think Garrard has the skill to run that offense.

I thought Collins would do "ok", but he apparently didn't have the smarts/ability to run that offense either.

Always has been, but now they don't have Peyton on the field to mask the team's deficiences anymore. Colts are probably going to go winless without him.

Orlovsky???? Are you kidding me? Man times are a tough in Indy.
Think I'll add him to my fantasy team real quick before someone else gets him

Now I'm not comparing Collins to Favre, but I'd give Favre a try (if manning does have a "slight" chance of coming back, if Colts may possibly make playoffs.)

Favre and Collins are both smart enough to run the quick paced offense. But you are correct Collins is past his prime, but I think Favre may still be able to move better than him and make some plays.

    Jeff George is the answer

One of best arms ever and still can throw

Bret Favre also would of been perfect

Jeff George.... shit like that only happens in Baseball..

Word on the street Jaime Moyer is planning a comeback for next year... what he does not know is that his game left him 5 years ago.

I don't think the Colts really care at this point. They're not going .500 no matter who is QB so they might as well play what they have and move up in the draft. They have KC next week and 2 with Jacksonville....I'm guessing 3-13 or 4-12? They could've beaten alot of teams with how they played on Sunday night.
