obviously (to everyone with half a brain) preventing every team (and rodgers and brees) from even completing one 20+ yard pass is an exaggeration/ hyperbole.

not sure EXACTLY how dumb you are so i dont know if i need to keep explaining or not....
Since 2007, those Williams boys over in Minny have had arguably the best D-line in football, yet they are the 20th best team against the pass on average the past 4 years. Yes, Suh is great and Fairly has potential... noway in hell does that all of a sudden make their suspect pass D amazing as you seem to think. No doubt will it be tough for teams to run up the gut on them... but unfortunately, Brees and Rodgers have different ways of doing things

This honestly might of been the STUPIDEST post I've ever seen on SBR no lie. Its obvious you don't have a clue about football. First by saying the Lions are Super Bowl bound and secondly calling Matt Ryan overrated.

Get a clue bud or get lost.

As of right now: 1. Packers, 2. Lions, 3. Saints

Talent wise: Packers, Eagles, Saints - Lions a close 4th.

That being said, GB and NO are clearly the cream of the crop in the NFC right now with Det a notch below them and Dal and Philly a notch below the Lions.

This is how I see things playing out:
NFC Championship Game - NO @ GB
AFC Championship Game - Hou @ NE

Superbowl - NE vs. GB (Not a juicy pick but this is by far the most likely SB game and it would be a great one.)
Exactly... dallas is one romo mistake from being 3-0, with a ton of injuries on defense and to their wr core... and philly is an injury away from being 2-1, if not 3-0... not to mention a team full of talent that is still learning to play with each other. Both of these teams will be dangerous later in the season... that is, unless they dig themselves in too deep of a hole early...

well the games are starting so we should wrap this up but just to summarize:

    1. you dont think a good pass rush affects passing
    2. you dont think having suh and fairley on the same line will improve the lions' defense

    got it.

every team can pass on every team. i didnt say noone will be able to pass on them; i said "they wont allow a 20-yard pass for the rest of the season probably hahaha"
of course that is pretty much impossible and id like to direct your attention to the "hahaha" part aswell.

when you have those two fat SOBs in your face or pushing your o-line into you, you dont have time or make the best passes frequently and it will really help their secondary a lot by not allowing plays to develop.

if i say alabama is going to kill florida, i dont want you to go calling the police.

and you actually said this. no exaggeration, no hyperbole, just ignorance:

this entire fuking forum knows nothing about the NFL . period.

3 pages of this thread and philly isnt even mentioned once ?? WTF

    they completely dominated st louis,

they completely dominated atlanta barring a 2 minute collapse in which kafka was playing

they outplayed the giants without a question, and only lost (again) because vick got hurt.

they still have maclin, desean jackson, mccoy, vick, and a pretty legitimate defense that has played much better than the numbers show.

this whole forum is a joke man. 49ers and tampa bay are being mentioned by tons of posters.... two overrated as hell teams... and no sign of philly?

    not enough said

    1. their shitty offense cant keep their defense off the field. more opportunity for opponents to score; defense is more tired at the end of games.
    2. kevin williams is slightly overrated. (however, jared allen is a beast)
    3. they have to play aaron rodgers twice a year- not good for the numbers either.
    4. they have had very poor coaching until very recently.

there are lots of other factors as to why a team can have a good d-line and still give up numbers offensively.

if you dont think the trenches are where football games are won and lost, you are sadly mistaking.

eagles are proving it so far- i like the birds a lot but they're just not getting it done. cant blame kafka either- he's playing just fine for the most part when hes asked to come in.

macklin is not a #1 receiver and shouldnt be treated like one. they have to start looking some other places as a first pass option or that offense is going to stall.

mccoy is playing at a very high level. eagles have a great secondary and their d is getting pressure on QBs. riley cooper is underrated. expectations were very high for this team and they're not coming close to meeting them so far.

the argument was never whether they will win games or not... the argument is that their secondary is still less then average, and that they will have trouble stopping the pass, even with your boy fairley

    NO and GB

Not sold on anyone else for all the reasons mentioned above and it's way too early to tell how anything will play out.

Don't like PHIL because I am talking about now and we don't know if Michael Vick will continue getting hurt like a total wanker. If he does they may have a good team but it won't matter if he gets hurt and the team collapses every game. Same goes with DET. Stafford gets hurt every season, and in this case winning games right now won't matter shit if he can't stay healthy and be in a position to win games at the end of the season or heaven forbid - the playoffs. ATL got boned by the Bears and coming from a Bears fan who by no means thinks his team is playoff worthy, that is sad.

See what I mean? Shit, even NO and GB showed weaknesses in their games but when it comes to top team AND this early, I gotta give it to them for now.

Philly is overrated and the Cowgirls are winning that division. Said this before the season started.

They did not dominate the Rams, it was actually close, the final score lies. Rams suck anyway.

How do you dominate someone completely and give up 5td's? They were going to lose with Vick anyway.

They supposedly outplay the Giants with a bunch of scrubs playing and no WR's yet Eli still gets 4td's passes. LOL

Eagles may have the talent but you don't win games on paper, they have no heart and it's just a collection of stupid thugs.

Easy schedule coming up so they should bounce back but we won't be seeing them in the Super Bowl.
