    Cowboys hitting a wall?

We'll know for sure later today when Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo undergoes a CT, but according to FOX Sports' Matt Mosley, Romo has two fractured ribs. He suffered the injury during the first half of yesterday's win over the San Francisco 49ers and was replaced by Jon Kitna before making his return late in the fourth quarter. Romo said after the game that he had trouble yelling out signals and getting dressed. However, he's expected to play next Monday against the Washington Redskins.

According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, the Dallas Cowboys are worried that wide receiver Miles Austin might not play until after the team's week-five bye. During the fourth quarter of yesterday's win over San Francisco, Austin re-injured the hamstring that bothered him during the preseason. He didn't play in the overtime period and will be re-evaluated probably today.

And now begins the string of notes concerning injuries to Dallas Cowboys offensive starters. First, running back Felix Jones, who separated his right shoulder early in yesterday's game versus the 49ers. He returned later on, but touched the ball just 10 times for 30 total yards. Backups Tashard Choice and DeMarco Murray performed simply OK in his absence. Choice carried the ball five times for five yards and caught two passes for 24 yards. Murray has six carries for 21 yards and caught a four-yard pass.

Dez bryant did not play Sunday as well.

Yea. Not looking great, but the boys will get no pity.

    Backups get paid too. Ugh.

Sounds like Bryant and Newman might be back for Monday night. Choice is a good back up along with Murray but the O-line has got to start making running lanes for these guys. But yeah Cowboys have a ton on injuries but its something every team has to deal with.

Kevin Ogletree, Jesse Holley, Dewayne Harris (R) are the "next men up" at WR.

Dez will play next Monday...Choice and DeMarco Murray will adequately fill in for Felix Jones. They also have Witten along with John Phillips and Martellus Bennett, three good receiving tight ends, which I look to pick up some slack in the passing game.

Their biggest problems are the O-line and corner injuries where they already lacked depth.
