You might want to play some Super Bowl futures today.

There are a lot of borderline teams with some decent cap space that can get good REAL QUICK.

There's only 10 days of Free Agency and the picture could change over night. I pissed away money on Seattle, TB and Cleveland.

The NFL is the only league were there is consistently a surprise team.

Hammer the Bears @ 32-1. Their defense is tops and when they shore up the o-line and upgrade the WRs, they are dangerous.

The Jets are way overvalued, They will be losing a ton of their own free agents. I wish there were a good way to bet futures against them without a huge vig, but without Matchbook it's not that easy.

Arizona is a good bet. If they get Kevin Kolb as most people expect, they will easily win their division, and could get a 1st round bye and home field in the 2nd round due to how bad the rest of the division is. 1 decent QB can make that much difference.

Exactly how are the Bears shoring up the offensive line?

Kevin Kolb might be overrated. You know the Eagles reputation of over hyping a QB then selling them.

I'm waiting until the free agency and trades are over before betting any futures.

They are one of the teams with cap room so they can get well quick on the line. If it wasn't for Cutler, I'd take a shot on them also. (God, I hate him.)

If they can get to the Super Bowl with Rex Grossman and win it with Jim McMahon, I wouldn't worry about it. Maybe Cutler will break his arm in the preseason and Hanie can come in. Hanie brought them back coming in cold in the NFC championship game.

bengals 150-1 why not, palmer was so bad if they grab a decent guy and could ever manage a 10-6 season then it would be hedge city

i agreed overvalued, but if they land asomugha they will have an even better defense. which can get them in the playoffs. they will need their offense to get it done

Bet your favorite team and move on. This bet is the easiest cash grab on the board for the books.

It is far too early. I will for sure throw out a few teams so far like the Seahawks. It is going to get crazy for about 10 days with free agents.

Just take whoever you think will win the NFC west.

    49ers are +3700
    Rams are +4500
    Seahawks are +6500
    Cards are +7500

Once you're in the playoffs, anything can happen.

Plus, you can always hedge once the playoff futures come out no?

not really any of those teams will again be in the playoffs at like 8-8 and be a a +3 as a wildcard game and +8 next round. those odds are fair

ya totally..... cause its not like they went 14-2 and beat every playoff team they faced

i remember a personnel guy telling a writer last year that he couldnt believe how well they did....that maybe 12-13 of the starters on the offensive/defensive sides of the ball were nfl starter caliber.....

tons of young talent with gronk, hernandez, vollmer, solder, mayo, spikes, j cunningham, chung, merriweather, mcourty, dowling....not to mention ty warren and leigh bodden going on ir before the season started left them with huge holes...there isnt any other talent there either...the coach and qb? ehhh....decent

but anyways...yer right...the patriots era has been over for awhile...they havent been a superbowl contender since 2004

i think its a very fair price to what could actually happen. they have a 1 in 7 chance yes. better than 90% of the teams in the league yes i would say so. its really a good line for a pats fan cause at 4-1 it would be off and at 10-1 a steal

    AFC: Patriots and Jets.
    NFC: Packers and Saints.

That's how I would bet, two bets per side. As long as the odds are 5 to 1 or greater when betting on 4 teams that could win the Super Bowl.

I'll keep my eye on the Ravens and Bears. They seem to have the potential to make it.
