Peyton will be the oldest starting QB, depending on what happens with Hasselbeck, who is 6 months older.

You can look back at all the HOF greats, but every QB has diminished success in their late 30's.

Not only that, the Colts are a shell of what they used to be. Freeney is old, now. Many recent drafts were poor.

Not sure what will qualify as a sleeper. Schedule could be shortened. Won't be a whole lot of time to sign free agents and get everyone up to speed. Injuries will be prevalent and really hurt some teams that had high expectations for the season. Don't see how people can say Bills as a sleeper when they will finish last in division. I'm looking at teams that are close to being championship caliber to be there in the end. Atl, Saints, Pats, Jets, Eagles.

Houston can have Wade. He can't keep Schaub from making a few stupid plays each game.

Im not sure the Rams qualify as a sleeper they may well go into the year as the favorite in the west.

The I agree about the 49ers, who should struggle with their coaching change and a big question mark at QB.

But I disagree about the Texans who easily have a top 10 QB, if not top 5, as well as more coaching stability.

As for the Rams, way too much love for an unproven team. My NFC West pick for 2011 is the veteran Seahawks.

Not really. Schaub has only established himself as an absolute top tier QB in the last year or so. Basically, he had a breakout year in 2009 and proved that it was no fluke in 2010. There is little doubt now that Schaub can carry this team, very few teams in the NFL have that luxury at QB.

The knock on the Texans has always been defense, but if you look at the offseason moves they have done everything possible to fill those needs including bringing in Wade Phillips who has always been considered maybe the best DC in the NFL even if his head coaching left a lot to be desired. Not to mention that Phillips is coming back home to where he started his career working under his dad with the Houston Oilers, so much is pointing to this being a perfect fit for Wade.

i doubt plax would choose to go to D.C over other teams. Some better team would want him, say, the Eagles. Plax is not going to be a 1, or 2 option anyways he is going to be basically a red zone target for now.

also, they have already named John Beck their guy. Maybe mike shannnon knows something we don't, he did win a super bowl, and is a pretty damn good coach.

Houston has the best front 7 in the league they are going to be sick, In some ways they are the best in the AFC, but I don't think they can matchup with the Jets because Revis can shut down Johnson.

The Rams aren't a sleeper by any means. Especially in that division. Hell, everyone is picking them to win that division. Way to go out on a limb

As a team, I think the Lions are a lot further along than the Rams. But it's gotta be brutal for the Lions to be in the same division as the two teams from last year's NFC championship game. With the Rams, they were in the worst division in football and still couldn't win that division last year. The Rams are young with upside, but they are still missing a lot of pieces to be considered a real complete team. The Lions, OTOH, only need Stafford to stay healthy because everything else is basically in place. This current Lions team kinda reminds me of the Packers from a couple years ago, but can they put together the same kind of run?
