I would love for the NFL season to not happen. The NFL has become way too arrogant and hypocritical, especially when it comes to sports betting. They have no gratitude whatsoever to all the bettors who without them would make the league far less profitable and successful.

Everyone on this board should be rooting for the NFL to be cut down to size.

Don't worry. There'll be a last minute deal. Too many $$$ would be lost...

How do you classify the NFL's attitude towards betting currently and what kind of attitude would you like to see them have toward betting in the future?

It would be pathetic if fans had to resort to creating mock NFL games with Madden 12 then upload it on Youtube, lol.

A number of friends and I really stopped being 'rabid NFL fans' back in the late 90s and while I still follow/cheer on my beloved Bears, I don't have the 'attachment' to them as I did in my younger days.

IMO the league does not deserve most/all of the legal protections and exemptions it has and should be treated no differently than any other commercial enterprise.

I don't think it'll happen, sadly. Too bad for the draft class that just moved in. Wasn't a great class on rookies, but there are some talent who really wants to play this year, and sadly they wont be getting the game check any time soon.

those of you saying the players are greedy don't understand the details of the dispute clearly. Well they are greedy a little but adding more games increase the injury rate by a larger proportion than the increase of pay would reflect. Additionally the majority of NFL players earn NFL minimum wage which combined with the average 3.5 year career may seem like a lot but goes real quick. My sports law professor is also a pretty big agent for some bigname players here in New England and says that there will definitly be a season. She was just at a meeting about this with some of the owners last week.

Give me a big time college game on a Monday night and I could live with it. I would need me a college fantasy football team though.

I would miss Sundays, I hate college football and Saturday is just the day before NFL Sunday, not a day I enjoy (unless its Hockey Night in Canada).

I hope they play the season as planned
