    QB drafting is always a gamble a la Manning or Leaf? Pretty obvious now.

    This board was filled with the same opinions when Young was drafted.

    Personally I like the choice. It gives the franchise a real triggerman plus a strong and fast guy that will have to be played differently. Can you imagine playing Madden with both Vick and Newton on the field together??? sick

    If a black QB has great stats, he never won the big one with a good team.

    The black QB who did win the big one, well he had crappy stats.

    Newton could be a stud or a bust and none of us can predict that.

    I'm not sure that you can consider this nuts from Carolina's point of view they realistically had nothing in the way of QB why not take a shot?

    he had a great season at auburn but dam, number 1 pick?
    tebow played 3 years, won championships, heismans, and still people doubted him
    how the hell is this cam newton a number 1 pick?
    y not pick up vince young for less money? they are they same player ..............

    Look at past drafts and see how many top 5 picks are busts...also mel kiper he is one annoying guy
