From what I read, it seems like the consensus is that the goal of a sportsbook is to have half the $ on teamA and half on teamB...sportsbook collects the vig from the winners, everyone happy.

Do sportsbooks also sometimes take action on games they think the public is wrong on?

For example, take Pinnacle. If 75% of the money comes in on teamA, and Pinnacle doesn't adjust the line to get more action on teamB...does that mean Pinnacle likes teamB? (Hypothetically of course, from what I understand it isn't possible for the public to know how much $ is on each side)

Does Pinnacle employ experts in each sport that are dialed in to all the teams and info?

If anyone has links to interviews or stories about the internals of sportsbooks, I'd be interested.
