    Do you have to claim sportsbook winnings on your taxes in Nevada???

    I am going to open an account for a sports book in Nevada but they want my social so i'm scared ill get taxed on my winnings lol???Help!

    No, you don't. There is no state tax in Nevada, so you are safe.

    Once Nevada secedes from the US, you won't have to pay US taxes either. Until then, however, you do.

    you have to be paying federal taxes on your winnings no matter where you reside. If the IRS finds out that you didn't report gambling winnings on your 1040 (tax return), they will send you to prison for a very long time.

    No, max youll get a fine. Long time? Not a chance. No state income tax in nevada, but fed tax still aplys. Bet with a local, wont have any problems.

    Anyone know whay bodog is now bovada.lv ?? Does the lv mean its located in las Vegas now?
