Question About Pasting a Table in a Thread

    Hi Everyone,

I have been trying to paste a small table in a thread, and no matter what I do the formatting always gets lost.

I have tried sourcing this from Excel, Word, and Notepad with the same basic results.

Is there a trick to accomplishing this or is the answer that you just have to manually format the data after pasting?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank You in advance.

Edit: Sorry, just tried a few things. I can't get it to work.

    Hi Jive,

    Thanks for trying.

Between your attempt and the fact that you are the only person who replied from over 2000 views of this thread, I think it is safe to assume it needs to be done manually.

Thanks again and good luck to everyone.

its a pain in the butt but the only way I know of to get it to look right when you post it is to preview the post and edit it from there.

    Hi Double,

Thanks for your time as well.

It certainly seems like the only way to do this is a manual fix.

Based on how many views this topic has gotten, I suspect a bunch of people would be interested in knowing how to do this, if possible.

Might be something that SBR should look at, if it's not a huge technical hurdle to overcome.

    Thanks again and good luck.

I'm assuming that SBR has html tables turned on just for the admins, since I've seen them post tables before. Vbulletin has a TABLE feature that must be turned on in the admin side for the users to use it.

    Hi Everyone,

Since there seemed to be alot of interest in this thread, I thought I would let you know that a moderator has informed me that the only way he knows of to do this, is to format a table manually after pasting it.

    Thanks.
