“I’ve been in prison once, and I’m probably facing prison again, and it all had to do with me not being able to admit to myself I was a compulsive gambler,” Antar said in an interview with The Associated Press Thursday. “When I look at what I did, I’m sick about it. A lot of people have this problem and they need help.”
In his lawsuit, Antar claims he alerted numerous employees and officials with the gambling companies to the fact that there was a serious, recurring problem with disconnections, but that they knowingly kept malfunctioning games available to the public because they were too profitable to take down.
He says his complaints were made to local supervisors and VIP hosts, an online complaint portal, and even to the president of the casino and the CEO of its parent company.
He also claims the companies paid him near-daily bonuses totaling $30,000 a month to keep him playing and to entice him not to report problems with the games to the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement.

I hope if he wins the fine goes to a safe gambling fund and not to the player.

Not good for bettors or the industry if degens can turn this into a game where they lose everything and try to claim it back later. Has made for a mess in the UK system but not tolerated in many other jurisdictions thankfully.

MGM let’s you collect at Borgata sportsbook too. I’ve done it multiple times.

Those girls outside the horse book gave me a 1k free bet with a 1k deposit. I bet the 1k on a hockey game which won and the other 1k on a basketball game. Both won. They let me cash out the balance and it was available at the window when they opened the next day.

Why would you think that Borgata gives you good comps? Ever since they took over fully from Boyd running the casino operation, their food comping rate went down to less than 1/2 of what it used to be; more like 1/3 if anything. Now, it's even worse.

In Vegas, MGM gives you absolutely NOTHING and MGM owns Borgata.

Perhaps if you didn't carry any comp balance, then you can ask for something and they will give you something but for someone like me who carries a few hundreds in comp balance asking them for anything is just a waste of time as I will get nothing.

I played 8 hours just two days ago with the average bet of $100+ with the max bet of $2,000 a hand and I got only $33 comp dollars which translates to like 4% of the average bet size. When Boyd ran things, it was an automatic 15% of the average bet amount and I would have gotten $120 in comp dollars.
