Arizona will have more problems against Duke. Texas ralled from double digits down pretty much with one guy just putting his head down and going to the basket in the 2nd half. Duke has a lot of weapons and Arizona's defense is still very suspect IMO. Duke has the bigs to pound on Derrick Williams too although his quickness will be tough to defend still. Should be entertaining for sure. Probably the best region left as far as match-ups go.

Duke is such a well prepared team every single game and have so much experience in this tournament. Although I wouldn't lay 9.5 points but they should outclass Arizona in the Sweet 16. That I can guarantee and I don't see why they won't repeat as national champions.

They have lines up already at most books, not just Pinnacle. Whatever dog tag you give VCU, I will take. I think they are the destiny team this year and stylistically they can give FSU some problems because FSU does turn the ball over quite a bit. VCU is also much quicker than Notre Dame, so their guards may actually be able to get some better three point looks.

Marquette-Carolina should be another track meet.

Duke played super aggressive today against Michigan, every huge Duke player was right smack up against every Michigan player, Michigan played with a lot of heart and some luck and made their shots, and that's how it was close. Duke did not look overrated or sloppy to me, 8-9 sounds about right.

Like Zona to stay within the number and like Marquette to take out NC. A 5 point spread seems to be the magic underdog number. FSU, Marquette, and Arizona were all 5 pt dogs and won outright. Watch out for Kentucky next week...

AZ is the worst team still in the tourney and Duke is arguably the best. After dukes 2 point win I was really hoping for a favorable # here, like 7. I'm sure as hell not taking zona though, don't care how high that number is.

I just wouldn't touch this game. The ML bet may be the way to go. If the spread is more than +8.5 for Duke, I would just bet the ML. No way does Arizona pull the upset. Duke is just a much better team than them. I think Derrick Williams will have problems against Duke's size. And Nolan Smith is light years ahead of Arizona's guard play.

Agree that Roy Williams is over-rated. Since he's gone to Carolina, I think you can really see especially how poor he is in preaching/teaching defense. At Kansas, that got masked a little bit. I don't think Marquette will try to run in the way Washington did where they're taking shots every 10 seconds, but they have played up tempo teams this year and not shyed away from taking their shots. I wish it was Syracuse here, #1 they're my team and #2, I think their zone would have fukked Carolina all day long and clogged the game down into a slower pace. But of course, this was a stupid Orange team to begin with so they may have fukked that up too.

Hoops = different from football.
Football team covers by 16-20 pts, does not mean as much as a NCAA basketball team that keeps covering by A LOT.
AZ covered by a LOT against a quality club, though Texas has some issues, Duke did not... need to look at the ATS differential.
Look at Michigan... they kept covering the last 10-12 games... it means they are shooting, passing, defending consistently. And they got + 12.5 against Duke?
Not like football where a fumble, or an interception leads to a big point spread victory.
Play the teams that are covering consistently, lately, especially the ones that covered by a LOT (throw out some where # 1 played a joke # 16 team, or a # 2 played a # 15).
Look at VCU, BYU, teams like that... they have been POUNDING the spread. Go against them? Not wise. Play or pass against these teams. AZ not quite in that category...

I've watched almost every game Duke has played this season, and I think Arizona has got a real chance. Probably be a 1-2 possession game either way.

Duke doesn't have the killer instinct they used to have. And they are too used to grinding out second half games in the half-court.

As long as Arizona plays tough and physical, I don't see why they can't give Duke a major run for their money.
