#12 Utah St and #12 Richmond

It still blows me away that VCU got a better seed then Utah St and Richmond.

Its almost unfathomable that either Utah St or Richmond would have missed the field of 68 to VCU/UAB had they not won their conference tourny.

vcu is in the play in game. they definitely did not get a better seed in my book. would rather be the 12 and not play the extra game

What really sucks is the winner of UAB/Clemson tonight plays the 1st game on Thursday in Florida. I mean come one committee, this is just straight up ridiculous, and a heck of a nice break for West Virginia.

agree with you on utah st and richmond, started the same exact thread yesterday actually. the only way they could be in play in games was for the 16th seed (for automatic qualifiers), which obviously wasnt happening. those were the last 4 at large spots that are being played off. i do think its a break for wvu to be playing either uab or clemson on such a quick turnaround.

I still don't understand why everybody is so high on Utah State. 2 RPI Top 100 wins, only 4 RPI Top 100 *opponents.* No team with fewer than 3 RPI Top 100 wins has ever received an at-large bid. Their god-awful scheduling leaves them totally and completely unprepared for the tournament. There's a reason they haven't won an NCAA Tournament game in 10 years.
