USC is probably the 5th best team in the pac-10 at this point. WSU, UW, UCLA, ARIZONA all > USC, hell Oregon is playing better than USC coming into this time of year.

Its clear the committee made the play-in games a Top Conference Team against a Mid Major. (UAB and VCU)

looks like they used the early season head to head records as indication this year instead
of how well you played at the end of the year.
Kind of surprising.
Colorado lost to georgia but they beat kansas state 3 times and beat missouri and texas and played kansas tough
